Zorana Mihajlović (Serbian Cyrillic: Зорана Михајловић, born May 5, 1970 in Tuzla , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian economist and politician .

Career

Mihajlović studied at the University of Belgrade , where she graduated in 1993 with a diploma in foreign and domestic trade and in 1998 as a master . In 2001 she finished her Ph.D. - Successful studies at the university. She then worked in the Serbian energy industry before returning in 2008 as an assistant professor at Megatrend University . In 2011 she was promoted to associate professor there and appointed full professor in 2016.

Around the turn of the millennium, Mihajlović started her political career in the G17 Plus party and was an energy policy advisor for the Minister of Economics, Miroljub Labus . In April 2010 she joined the Serbian Progressive Party and was soon promoted to the party's executive committee. After the parliamentary elections in Serbia in 2012 , she became Minister of Energy and Environment in the cabinet of Prime Minister Ivica Dačić, and in 2014 she took over the Ministry of Construction and Transport. She also remained in office under her successors, Aleksandar Vučić and Ana Brnabić .
