Zorzor is a city and an administrative sub- center of Lofa County in northern Liberia . It is located on a tributary of the Saint Paul River on the border with Guinea . According to the 2008 census, the city had a population of 5,131.

Since the civil war there have been several important refugee camps in the vicinity of the town , and thousands of Liberians are still living as refugees across the border on the national territory of Guinea.

The region is mainly used for agriculture. In January 2009 the region was severely affected by the Liberian Armyworm Plague , a mass multiplication of caterpillars, so the Liberian government had to declare a national emergency for the first time . A relatively intact road network was created through the deployment of blue helmet soldiers stationed in Liberia after the civil war , and the technical infrastructure was rebuilt. There is an administrative center, schools and the Curan Hospital .
