Zscheppa is a group of houses in Stolpen in the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district .

The location is near the confluence of the Letsch water in the Langenwolmsdorfer Bach. It is located about 800 meters south of Stolpen Castle in the far east of the corridor of the Stolpen district of Altstadt  - near Bahnhofstrasse and in the vicinity of Langenwolmsdorf . The place name goes back to the Old Sorbian 'cep', which means a cone or bung that blocks a watercourse that is used for fishing. Later there was an adjustment to the dialect form of "(water) scoop", the vernacular therefore knows the place as "(the) Schäppe". Other traditional forms of the place name are "Zschepa" (1791), "the Tzschep houses" (1821/22) and "Zscheppe" (1826).

In 1623 Zscheppa was a “one-time hopeful, belonging to the Altstad”, in 1764 “the Tzscheppe” consisted of “two-moderate goods”. Around 1824 there were four houses with 20 inhabitants, for 1875 only seven inhabitants are mentioned. At the turn of the 20th century, one of the farms disappeared. Zscheppa has belonged to Stolpen as part of the old town since July 1, 1950.
