Zsolt Bedák (* 26. September 1983 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian boxer in the super bantamweight . He is the brother of the boxer Pál Bedák .
Amateur career
Zsolt Bedák was Hungarian Champion in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005. He won bronze at the 2001 European Junior Championships, silver at the 2004 EU Championships , gold at the 2006 EU Championships and bronze at the 2006 European Championships . At the 2004 Olympics , he defeated Abner Mares and then lost to Maxim Tretjak.
Professional career
In 2006 he became a professional at the Hamburg boxing stable Spotlight Boxing . He won 15 fights in a row and boxed on May 29, 2010 against Wilfredo Vázquez junior for the world title of the WBO , but was defeated by technical knockout (TKO) in the tenth round.
After ten more victories, he got another chance to win the WBO world title on April 23, 2016, losing to Nonito Donaire in the third round through TKO .
