Type of sugar
Type of sugar is a sales name and serves the food labeling regulation . According to the Sugar Types Ordinance and in implementation of Council Directive 2001/111 / EC on certain types of sugar, the term includes the types of sugar:
- Semi-white sugar
- Sugar or white sugar
- refined sugar, white refined sugar or refined sugar
- Liquid sugar = aqueous solution of sucrose with more precisely defined characteristics
- Invert liquid sugar
- Invert sugar syrup
- Glucose syrup
- dried glucose syrup
- Dextrose (glucose, dextrose) contains water of crystallization
- Dextrose (glucose, dextrose) free of water of crystallization
- Fructose (fruit sugar)
- Lactose / lactose (milk sugar)
These types of sugar enjoy designation protection. The named designations are reserved for products that correspond to the legal definitions.
