A sugar tongs is a small pliers with claw or spoon-shaped ends for gripping sugar cubes or Kluntjes from a sugar bowl or the like. The sugar tongs are part of the serving cutlery .

In a broader sense, it is a historical household appliance in the form of tongs for chopping sugar loaf , a so-called sugar crusher . As an aid for placing the Sugar in Feuerzangenbowle a pair of tongs , rarely Zuckerzange called, are used. When preparing absinthe , an absinthe spoon, similar to fire tongs, is used.
