State examination thesis

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A state examination thesis (also admission thesis , qualification thesis as well as brief examination thesis or state thesis , officially mostly scientific term paper ) is the extensive written final thesis of a teacher training course at the end of a scientific university course within the framework of the respective state exams .

The state examination thesis corresponds to the diploma or master's thesis or a master's thesis . Passing the state examination does not yet confer an academic degree , but is considered a full university degree for the relevant course. A state examination thesis can be recognized as a master's thesis, whereby the academic degree Magister Artium is awarded (the regulations vary from university to university).

In addition to the work as part of the so-called "First State Examination", another state examination paper is also written towards the end of the legal traineeship , during teacher training as part of the Second State Examination , which is, however, significantly shorter in scope and limited to practical topics. In the legal traineeship for the second state examination, no further state examination paper is written.
