The Haus zum Pfauen is located in the old town of Brugg in the canton of Aargau at Hauptstrasse 30. It is a Swiss cultural asset of regional importance .

The house "Zum Pfauen" is a deep, Gothic - Baroque corner house. The late Gothic facade facing the main street is characterized by two double windows on three floors and the profiled walls . The building has two baroque portals to the north at the lower court . The larger of the portals is arched and equipped with a profiled frame. Fruit-hung, perspective volutes are attached to this frame and a shell keystone forms the top. There is a cranked , straight roof above the archway . The date 1710 is noted on one of the cellar windows. On the first floor of the building there are Régence - stucco ceilings from around 1740 with ribbon and latticework.
