The dwarf bush bee ( Apis andreniformis ), also known as the bush honey bee , occurs in Southeast Asia and Borneo . It is the smallest of the world's nine and eight Asian honey bees . The honeycomb, like that of the giant honey bee ( Apis dorsata ), is open; the brood is protected and warmed by a living curtain made up of bees.
