Intermediate wearing time

In animal breeding, the period from birth to the next successful occupation ( conception ) is called the intermediate gestation period .

The intermediate gestation time is an important economic parameter, especially in cattle production . An intermediate gestation period of 85 days is aimed for in order to achieve an intermediate calving period of 360 days. The rest time must therefore be between 50 and 70 days. In herd management, only the pregnant animals are recorded to calculate the intermediate gestation time , the intermediate gestation time is adjusted for those animals that also conceive, with a success rate for artificial insemination of 85% being aimed for.
