Zygmunt Kalinowski (born May 2, 1949 in Laski ) is a former Polish football player .

Club career

Zygmunt Kalinowski began his professional career in 1968 at the capital city club Legia Warsaw , where he was only a substitute goalkeeper and was rarely used. In 1971 he moved to Śląsk Wrocław , where he became one of the best goalkeepers in Poland. From 1979 to 1981 and from 1982 to 1987 he also played for Motor Lublin in the highest Polish league. He then worked for Polonia Sydney in Australia and North York Rackets Toronto in Canada . After returning to Poland , Zygmunt Kalinowski played for various lower-class clubs before finally ending his active career in 1996 at the age of 47. Then he was goalkeeping coach in the youth field at Wisła Krakau , Górnik Łęczna , KS Lublinianka and the Polish national team. He is currently a goalkeeping coach at Motor Lublin.

National team

Between 1973 and 1974 Kalinowski took part in four international matches in his country. He was also part of the squad at the 1974 World Cup in Germany , where he was not used, but won the bronze medal with Poland.
