The British Land Company plc, listed on the London Stock Exchange in the FTSE 100 , is one of the largest real estate and investment company in the UK . The company was founded in 1856 and is headquartered in London at Regent's Park.

More than half of British Land's portfolio is invested in retail stores such as Meadowhall Shopping Center in Sheffield . It also owns a large number of properties that have been leased to retail companies such as Tesco , Sainsbury’s and ASDA . British Land also owns properties in central London such as Broadgate Estate near Liverpool Street Station and Regent's Place near Euston Station.
