The CONCACAF Gold Cup 2007 was the 19th game of the continental football championship for North Central America and the Caribbean and the 9th under the name Gold Cup and took place from June 6th to 24th in the USA. It was the third time that there were no guests from other continental associations.

The United States beat Mexico 2-1 in the final , qualifying for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa .

Twelve national teams from North and Central America and the Caribbean took part in the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup .

The 2007 soccer caribbean championship was also a qualification for the caribbean zone. The four semi-finalists of this competition qualified for the Gold Cup. After this competition the following teams were determined to participate in the Gold Cup 2007:

The qualification in Central America took place from February 8 to February 18, 2007 as part of the UNCAF Nations Cup 2007 in San Salvador ( El Salvador ). It was played in two groups of four or three teams. The first and second placed in each group qualified for the Gold Cup 2007, the two group thirds determined the fifth participant from Central America. After this competition the following teams were determined to participate in the Gold Cup 2007:

The Group A games were played at Orange Bowl Stadium in Miami , Florida . Canada first in the group and Costa Rica second in the group qualified directly for the next round. Guadeloupe qualified as one of two group thirds for the knockout round.

The first two game days of Group B were played in the Home Depot Center in Carson , California . The final day of the match took place at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough , Massachusetts . The USA as first group and Guatemala as second group qualified directly for the next round.

Group C

The first two preliminary round match days of Group C were played at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford , New Jersey . The last day of the match took place entirely at Reliant Stadium in Houston , Texas . Honduras first in the group and Mexico second in the group qualified directly for the quarter-finals. Panama also moved into the round of the last eight as the best third party in the group.
