Daniel Pe'er

Daniel Pe'er ( Hebrew דניאל פאר; * January 2, 1943 in Tel Aviv-Jaffa ; † September 28, 2017 in Jerusalem ) was an Israeli television presenter and news anchor .

After studying Hebrew and English literature, he came to radio in 1962, where he worked as a news anchor. In 1971 he switched to television, where he moderated various magazines. Together with Jardena Arasi he hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 1979 in Jerusalem; he also moderated the Israeli preliminary round of the competition four times. In 2010 he retired.

He died on September 28, 2017 after suffering a stroke four days earlier.
