The EWS Arena ( Hohenstaufenhalle until May 2008 ) is a multifunctional arena in the Baden-Württemberg city ​​of Göppingen . The area of ​​today's EWS Arena has been an adventure center in Göppingen since the end of the 19th century. From 1897 there was a lake on the site, which the restaurateur Georg Schock had dammed up from the Storzenbach and named it after himself "Schockensee .
