Top division
The games for the 69th Men's World Championship took place from April 30th to May 15th, 2005 in Austria . The venues were the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna and the Olympiahalle Innsbruck . The mode of competition remained unchanged compared to the previous year . After the Canadian dominance of the past two years, the title went back to the Czech Republic this year , which made it its eleventh world title.
