St. Benedict writes his rule

With the encyclical Fulgens radiatur (Latin: He is shining brightly ) Pope Pius XII commemorated . on March 21, 1947 of the 1400th anniversary of the death of Saint Benedict of Nursia . Pius XII. reminded all of the life and work of Saint Benedict and emphasized his works, they had promoted the arts and sciences . In the encyclical he wrote over

• the life of Benedict,
• the merits of the saint for the Church and culture ,
• the teachings and rules ( Regula Benedicti ) throughout the world,
• and the reconstruction of the monastery of Monte Cassino .
