Gary Ilman (born August 13, 1943 in Glendale , California ) is a retired American swimmer and two-time Olympic champion .

Live and act

At the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo , he won the gold medal twice with the US relay. They were able to set a new world record in both 4 × 100 m freestyle and 4 × 200 m freestyle . In the individual competition over 100 m freestyle he reached the 4th place after he had set new Olympic records in the preliminary and in the semifinals.

Ilman was also able to win the 4 × 800 m freestyle competition with the US relay at the 1963 Pan American Games .
