Jakob Busk Jensen (born September 12, 1993 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish football player . He is under contract with 1. FC Union Berlin and is a former Danish junior international.

Career

Busk joined a predecessor club of FC Copenhagen in his youth; the club was formed in 1992 from a merger of the first teams from KB Copenhagen and Boldklubben in 1903 . In 2012 he was pulled up to the squad of the professional team of FC Copenhagen. On August 18, 2012 Busk was for the first time in the squad of professionals, but was not used in the 1-1 draw on the sixth match day of the Superliga season 2012/13 in the game against Brøndby IF . On May 16, 2013 he made his professional debut when he was in the starting lineup in the 0-1 defeat on Matchday 32 at Randers FC ; he played through. At the end of the season he won the Danish championship with FC Copenhagen. He played with FC Copenhagen in the Champions League the following season , but was not used. In the league and in the national cup competition he came to three appearances. They lost the cup final against Aalborg BK .

In the new season Busk moved on loan to first division relegated AC Horsens . On July 27, 2014, he made his debut on matchday one in the derby against Viborg FF . He fought for a regular place and was used in 17 first round games.

For the second half of the 2014/15 season he initially returned to FC Copenhagen and signed a loan deal with Norwegian first division club Sandefjord Fotball on January 19, 2015 . On April 6, 2015, Busk made his debut for his new club in a 3-1 win on the first day of the 2015 Tippeligaen edition against FK Bodø / Glimt . He was used in 14 of 30 league games because he was not present due to a back injury and his participation in the U21 European Championship 2015 and was not in the squad in some other games. His loan contract expired at the end of 2015.

In January 2016, Busk moved to the German second division club 1. FC Union Berlin and signed a contract that was valid until June 2017. The Dane was immediately number 1 in goal and made 37 competitive games up to a thigh injury in March 2017, after which he lost his regular place to Daniel Mesenhöler . In the 2017/18 season Busk was in goal in another 20 games, Mesenhöler played the remaining games again. After his move, Rafał Gikiewicz was signed , whom Busk has represented since then. In mid-May 2020, the goalkeeper received another extension of his contract, which has meanwhile been extended to June 2021, which is valid for both national leagues.

National team

Busk is a Danish national youth player several times. With the U21 national team , he took part in the 2015 European Championships and made it to the semi-finals, which meant qualifying for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio . In the semifinals of the EM you were eliminated against the eventual tournament winner Sweden; Busk played all games in the tournament.
