Lars Dietz (born January 7, 1997 in Soest ) is a German soccer player .

Career

He started playing soccer in the youth of Borussia Dortmund . After making his first appearances in the men's division with the regional league team , the defender moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for 1. FC Union Berlin in winter 2018 .

In order to gain match practice, the capital city team awarded him to third division club Sportfreunde Lotte for the 2018/19 season . It was there that Dietz made his first appearance in the professional field, when he was in the starting line-up in the 3-1 away win against Karlsruher SC on September 1, 2018, the 6th matchday . In the spring of 2019, the midfielder was relegated to the West Regional League with Westphalia, for whom he had played sixteen times .

After his return to the Iron , who had been promoted to the Bundesliga for the first time in his absence , the defensive player took part with the team in the preparation for the season, but was loaned to third division FC Viktoria Köln shortly before the start of the season.
