The National Congress of Honduras (Spanish: Congreso Nacional ) is the parliament in Honduras .

The National Congress consists of a unicameral system . The current President of Parliament is Mauricio Oliva . There are 128 MPs in the National Congress, who are elected for four years.

After the coup in Honduras in 2009 there were parliamentary elections in November 2009. The last election was on November 26, 2017 instead.

Parliament building

The Parliament is located in the Palacio Legislativo building in the center of Tegucigalpa . The construction was decided in 1951, should cost 450,000 Lempira (eventually: 1.4 million) and was built by the architect Mario Valenzuela.
