Uaibobo ( Uaibubo ) is an East Timorese Suco in the administrative office of Ossu ( municipality of Viqueque ).

Uaibobo is located in the northeast of the Ossu administrative office. During the 2015 territorial reform, the Suco in the north had to give up almost half of its territory to the Sucos Bado-Ho'o and Lelalai . The town of Cailoibere went to Bado-Ho'o. Uaibobo's area decreased from 24.58 km² to 15.36 km².

South of Uaibobo is the Suco Nahareca (Ossu administrative office). Otherwise Uaibobo is surrounded by the municipality of Baucau . In the west is the administrative office Venilale with its Suco Bado-Ho'o and in the northeast the administrative office Quelicai with its sucos Lelalai and Maluro . The Culo River , which has its source in Uaibobo, flows along part of the border with Nahareca . It flows into the western border river, the Sauma . The rivers are part of the Seiçals system . The settlements of Sogau , Munidailo , Uanise ( Uanisi ) and Leo are located in Uaibobo .

The seven Aldeias Darenau , Leo , Mundailo , Samaliurai , Sogau , Uaitau and Uanise are located in the Suco .

Residents

1259 people (2015) live in the Suco, of which 652 are men and 607 women. The population density is 82.0 inhabitants / km². There are 301 households in the Suco. The inhabitants speak Makasae as their mother tongue .

politics

In the elections of 2004/2005 was António Freitas Soares elected Chefe de Suco and in 2009 re-elected.
