The 2015 Western & Southern Open was a tennis tournament that was held in Mason, Ohio near Cincinnati from August 16-23, 2015 . It was part of the 2015 ATP World Tour and was played outdoors on hard courts. This season it was the seventh of nine tournaments in the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 category . At the same time, the 2015 Women's Western & Southern Open took place in Cincinnati .

Defending champion in singles was Roger Federer , in doubles the brother couple Bob and Mike Bryan .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 56 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 24 pairs. The eight top seeded players in singles or pairings in doubles each received a bye into the second round.

qualification

The qualification for the Western & Southern Open 2015 took place on August 15th and 16th, 2015. Seven qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There was also a lucky loser.
