Game mode, participants and draw

The WFV-Cup is held in the knockout system. All rounds are decided in one game, up to the round of 16 the club that plays in the lowest division has home rights. If both clubs play in the same league, the first-named club has home rights at the time of the draw. Home rights are drawn from the round of 16. In the final, the winner of the first semi-final game drawn is considered the home team, the winner of the second semi-final game drawn as the away team. The Cup Committee reserves the right to have selected games played for promotional purposes on predetermined places, whereby this right is mainly used only in the final game. If there is a tie after 90 minutes the winner will be played an extra time of 2 times 15 minutes. If there is still no winner, this will be determined in a penalty shoot-out.

The choice of seat is determined by lot, whereby lower-class clubs generally have home rights.
