Romanian rock is a genre of popular music in Romania. It was majorly influenced by changes in Romanian politics to such an extreme, that both the themes and styles of musicians, and the tastes and interests of listeners, changed dramatically with every major event in Romania's internal politics.
This is a list of episodes of the anime series Vampire Knight, based on the manga series of the same name written by Matsuri Hino. Produced by Studio Deen and Nihon Ad Systems,m the series is directed by Kiyoko Sayama and spans two seasons. The first season, comprised of thirteen episodes, premiered on TV Tokyo in Japan on April 7, 2008 and ran until the season conclusion on June 30, 2008. The episodes were also aired at later dates on TV Aichi, TV Hokkaido, TV Osaka, TV Setouchi, and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting Co. The second thirteen episode season, named Vampire Knight Guilty, will premiere on the same station starting October 6, 2008. The story follows Yuki Cross, who acts as a "guardian" at the Cross Academy in order to protect the division between the students of the "Day Class" and the hidden vampires of the "Night Class."

Two pieces of theme music are used for the episodes; one opening theme and one closing theme. The opening theme is "Futatsu no Kodou to Akai Tsumi" by ON/OFF, and the closing theme is "Still Doll" by Wakeshima Kanon.
As a result, the rock music that is currently performed in Romania features a politically-influenced profile that equipoised censorship policies in communist Romania (before 1990) and reacted promptly to social issues that followed during the economic transition.

Episode list
However, the strict government regulations practised in Romania during the Ceauşescu administration determined a very specific sound in popular music, partly favourable for its originality. Music and new technologies from abroad reached Romanian listeners and artists with difficulty – this was a moderate handicap to music production and sometimes produced slightly unfashionable records (when compared to Western interests). These conditions continued to have a strong influence even on music produced for many years afterwards.

|ShortSummary= Kaname and Yuuki are recalling memories when they encountered each other the night Yuuki first offered Zero her blood. Zero is recalling what Kaname told him about him letting Zero live because he will never betray Yuuki. After the intro. theme song, Ichijo checks up on Kaname, but finds him in his room, refusing to come out. The other Night Class students gather, worried, but Ichijo reassures them that Kaname is probably just thinking. A servant comes and hands Ichijo a note, saying that his grandfather, Ichiou, is coming for a visit. This news causes Ichijo complete panic. That night, everyone gathers to greet Ichiou as he comes, as well as Kaname. Ichiou nearly draws blood from Kaname, but Ruka and Aido stop him. Aido tells Ichiou that drawing blood from a pureblood is a vampire's greatest taboo, but Kaname slaps him for that. Later, Ruka offers her blood to Kaname, but he refuses. Ruka cries into Akatsuki's shirt, thinking she'll never understand Kaname's thoughts. As Ichiou leaves, he tells Ichijo privately to serve Kaname well, and to keep an eye on him. Ichijo replies that he will never harm Kaname. Yuki and Zero show up, and after a brief encounter with Kaname, take Ichiou to the Chairman's Office. Zero is told by Chairman Cross that the Hunters' Association wants him to track down an ex-human vampire that has already killed four teenage girls. Zero is given no choice, and the next day, he sets out. However, Yuuki spots him, and secretly follows him, wondering what he is doing. Shiki and Rima also show up, conversing with each other that the Council of Elders wanted them to track down the ex-human vampire, and then they see Zero doing the same. They realize it's a race. As Zero confronts the ex-human vampire, the vampire tells Zero how it feels to sink his fangs into a human's neck, bringing up bad memories for Zero. The vampire escapes before Zero can do anything, and comes upon Yuki with Shiki and Rima behind her. Shiki tries to kill the vampire using his "blood whip", but the vampire is too quick. Yuuki runs to try and find it. However, the vampire finds her first, and is about to kill her when his shoulder is shot by Zero. Zero kills the ex-human vampire, as a raven watches outside. Through the raven's eyes, a girl named Maria Kurenai claims that she will start attending Cross Academy, while stating that Zero looks very fabulous now, and that Yuuki looks very delicious. |ShortSummary= Zero dreams of the pure blood who killed his family. She cradles him in her arms. Startled, he wakes up. The upcoming ball, which both Night and Day classes will attend, has everyone excited. Aido sees Yuuki and pulls her into the building, while listening to the jealous outcries of the girls left outside. Zero then angrily comes to get Yuuki, scolding her for getting abducted. Members of the night class talk about the ball, while elsewhere, the chairman asks Yuuki to guide a Night Class transfer student named Kurenai Maria who was admitted late. Aido also seems shocked by her resemblance to the pure blood Hiou Shizuka. Suspicious, he starts spying on her. Leaving the classroom, Maria meets Yuuki conversing with Zero. Seeing Maria, Zero points his gun at her, remembering “that woman”. Unsure, though, he doesn’t shoot. Later, Aido talks to Akatsuki about Maria and Hiou Shizuka. The next morning, the Day Class President warns Yuuki to do well on exams or else their class will have to do dance setup. Afterwards, Zero and Yuuki see Takuma chasing Maria around the school campus. Yuuki starts to run after, but Zero warns her to stay away from Maria. Then, Aido comes up and hugs Yuuki. Zero takes Aido aside to talk about Maria as Yuuki flees a hoard of jealous girls, leaving Zero and Aido behind. Yuuki escapes by jumping onto the terrace, where she meets Takuma. Takuma explains why he’s tagging after Maria and describes the night class’s loyalty to Kaname. Meanwhile, Zero asks Aido if Maria has any connection to Shizuka. Aido replies that Zero should know best since he has a blood bond with Shizuka. At night, Kaname toys with his chess board, telling Takuma to handle Maria since Kaname’s own actions are restricted. Kaname confides that all the “pieces” Maria wants are at Cross Academy because he’s collected them here himself. Meanwhile, Maria is with her manservant. She'll tell how to save Zero from becoming a level E if Yuuki will do something for her. Meanwhile, Zero dreams of Shizuka and Ichiru. |ShortSummary=Yuuki tells Shizuka to drink her blood in exchange for saving Zero. Shizuka agrees, telling her that if Zero drinks his master’s blood, he won’t fall to Level E. Before Shizuka can drink from Yuuki, Zero comes in and pulls out his gun. Yuuki shields her, telling Zero he must drink Shizuka’s blood to save himself. Zero says that he can still beat Shizuka within an inch of her life, but stops because Yuuki starts crying. Shizuka is angered by Yuuki’s influence over Zero, and compels him with her voice to hold Yuuki still while she drinks Yuuki’s blood. She first drinks Zero's blood, punishing him for liking Yuuki, but he managed to stop her from drinking Yuuki’s blood next. He shoots his own leg and the pain breaks his compulsion. He wounds Shizuka with the Bloody Rose, but Ichiru enters, throwing his sword into Zero's firing arm. While Zero is pulling out the sword, Shizuka tells Ichiru not to meddle and leaves. Ichiru pulls out a dagger and begins fighting with Zero. Then, Yuuki jumps between them, and Ichiru threatens to kill Yuuki against Shizuka's orders. Zero retaliates by pressing his gun to Ichiru's head, but Ichiru reveals that it won’t work on him because he’s still human. He becomes enraged, explaining that although Shizuka gives him her blood, she doesn't want his in return. He loves her, but like their parents, Shizuka seems to prefer Zero over him. Ichiru pushes Yuuki out of the way to attack Zero. At Headmaster Cross’s house, Yagari and Cross argue again about meddling in vampire affairs. Cross insists that he cannot interfere in Kuran’s sphere, but does say that he doesn’t consider matters involving Yuuki and Zero under vampire jurisdiction. Meanwhile, Shizuka returns to her room, where Kaname is standing next to the window. She asks him why he attends the academy and he replies, because he also wants someone. Kaname appears behind Shizuka and shoves his hand through her heart. She tells him that she wanted to kill him, too, using Yuuki. He drinks her blood, and Shizuka says that it’s similar to the first time they met: they’re both after the same thing. He then pulls his hand out of her and lays Shizuka on the ground, vowing to destroy their mutual enemy. Aido, eavesdropping outside the door, hears everything. All the vampires smell spilt blood, and Ichiru realizes that it’s Shizuka's. He leaves to find her. Zero tries following but Yuuki hugs him and says she doesn't want him to perish with Shizuka as he planned. He pushes her away gently and says it’s different now, he will come back. |ShortSummary=As Shizuka was dying, Ichiru was with her the whole time, crying and having flashbacks of the past times with Shizuka. Ichiru has been in love with her the first time he met her. Shizuka, as she was dying told Ichiru a story about being engaged with a pureblood, but she fell in love with a human that she turned into a vampire. Unfortunately, the lover of hers was executed by Zero and Ichiru's parents because they were vampire hunters. That lover wasn't even supposed to be executed before sinking into level E. Someone (Rido Kuran, the pureblood that's engaged to Shizuka) changed the list of vampires to be executed, due to his jealousy. Due to the execution, Shizuka was said to had gone mad to kill Zero and Ichiru's parents, as well as biting Zero on the neck, making him a vampire. Before Shizuka dies, she asked Ichiru if he wanted to go with her, Ichiru immediately answered her yes. Zero on the other hand was on his way to the room where Shizuka was killed by Kaname when he smelled the drippings of blood that was left behind by Shizuka that trails to the room where she was laying down dying. When he reached the room, Shizuka was being carried by Ichiru dead. Zero didn't get a chance to drink his master's blood because her soul disappeared. In that room, the brothers had an argument about Shizuka, about the hatred and jealousy that Ichiru has towards his twin brother. After the bickering, Ichiru escaped via the window, leaving Zero struggling for his life. Yuuki was watching him as he passed out. Zero was accompanied to a safe place by Yagari. Kain, who also came to the scene of the crime reported to Kaname that he thinks Zero was the one who killed the "Madly Blooming Princess". Kaname acted as though he wasn't the one who killed Shizuka, though Aidou was a bit suspicious. Yuuki and all of them went back to their normal doings everyday. Yuuki asked the chairman about Zero and his condition. The chairman told her the he was fine and promised that they'd visit Zero soon. Yuuki was very happy to hear that. That night, went to the foutain in the school and was accompanied by Kaname afterwards. She told him about her feeling and the pain that Zero was suffering. The next scene was when the chairman came to visit Zero where he was locked up in chains in between a cross with daggers just like the tattoo on his neck. A noise was heard making the chairman and Yagari go out of the room. Kaname appeared and had a talk with Zero and then he forced Zero to drink his blood that can get rid of his madness. At first Zero refused to do it, but Kaname told him that it wasn't for him, but for Yuuki.

Rock music, which rapidly gained momentum during the 1960s in communist Romania, was a rather controversial topic, mainly because of the regime's propaganda against Western culture. In 1971, this fear culminated with the famous July Thesis. Thanks to its growing popularity, rock music was regulated, but allowed to flourish in Romania, often triggering a generation gap not dissimilar to that of the West or other Eastern European countries.

|ShortSummary=Zero comes back while Yuuki was guarding for the moon dorm. Yuuki then falls and is caught by Zero mistaking him with Kaname. Later on, while Yuuki and Zero were guarding, Yuuki started a conversation with Zero about her blood. Zero got mad at Yuuki, so he started walking away. Yuuki got worried so she followed him.Zero was about to talk to Yuuki but stopped because the headmaster reported that Maria Kurenai had woken. She tells Zero the truth about the mastermind of the deaths of his parents who's also the ennemy of the purebloods. After they met, Yuuki was asked to leave and then she jumped over the fence to the outer area of the school. Yuuki then got ambushed by a vampire from the senate. Zero comes to Yuuki and kills the vampire who was trying to hurt Yuuki. After that vampire dies, more vampires from the vampire senate came. Then the Moon Dorm students came, asked by Kuran Kaname to get rid of the vampires from the senate. The Moon Dorm students killed one of them. Kaname asked one of them what they were doing at Cross Acadamy. One of the vampires answered that it was because the Vampire Council had ordered them. Kaname then badly hurt him and he told the other vampires to leave. Once they left, Kaname went over to Yuuki and asked her if she was okay, and was about to touch her face, but she backed away. Yuuki then told Kaname that she didn't want to be treated like a child and won't speak to him until he truly admits that Zero is innocent. Later on, Zero was about to go in the shower when he saw Yuuki's towel, so he stopped. He then went to the couch, lied down, and then had a dream of Shizuka Hio with blood, which he thought he killed her. Then she turned into Yuuki, so Zero cried out Yuuki's name. Yuuki was sitting in front of Zero, drying her hair with her towel, so she was puzzled when Zero said her name. Then all of a sudden, Zero awoke, hugged Yuuki, and was about to kiss her, but doesn't.

Little is known about the beginning of rock music in Romania; however, some of the earliest artists were: Uranus (founded in 1961, in Timişoara), Cometele (en. The rock trend started in Romania with The Young Ones (1961), a feature film starring singer Cliff Richard.

Rock music was actually seldom called by its name in Romania (and in other East European countries); however, the term beat was sometimes used instead (this was also the name of an EPs series, released in the late sixties). However, rock bands were much more often referred to as "electric guitars' bands" (ro. formaţii de chitare electrice). The use of alternative names in the sixties does not indicate the term "rock" being banned or avoided, but a different perspective on the whole phenomenon.

In 1971, President Nicolae Ceauşescu delivered the July Theses, some of whose objectives demanded reorientation of all cultural interests towards national values and treasures. In fact, the July Theses inaugurated a "mini cultural revolution"; the Romanian rock scene was suddenly confronted with many nascent issues that they had not faced before. Singing in foreign languages was restricted to other Romance languages such as French and Italian or fellow Bloc languages.

Revision as of 02:08, 13 October 2008

This is a list of episodes of the anime series Vampire Knight, based on the manga series of the same name written by Matsuri Hino. Produced by Studio Deen and Nihon Ad Systems,m the series is directed by Kiyoko Sayama and spans two seasons.[1] The first season, comprised of thirteen episodes, premiered on TV Tokyo in Japan on April 7, 2008 and ran until the season conclusion on June 30, 2008. The episodes were also aired at later dates on TV Aichi, TV Hokkaido, TV Osaka, TV Setouchi, and TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting Co.[1] The second thirteen episode season, named Vampire Knight Guilty, will premiere on the same station starting October 6, 2008.[2][3] The story follows Yuki Cross, who acts as a "guardian" at the Cross Academy in order to protect the division between the students of the "Day Class" and the hidden vampires of the "Night Class."

Two pieces of theme music are used for the episodes; one opening theme and one closing theme. The opening theme is "Futatsu no Kodou to Akai Tsumi" (ふたつの鼓動と赤い罪, "Our Pounding Red Sin") by ON/OFF, and the closing theme is "Still Doll" by Wakeshima Kanon.
