During his 20-year career he appeared in over 200 films and television shows. He is best known for his work on the television program The Adventures of Kit Carson, where he appeared in several roles from 1951 to 1953.

Cason was killed in a car accident on July 7, 1961. He was buried in Grangeville Cemetery, in Armona, California.[18]
