Literally translated, the name means 'the cleft' in English. It probably refers to a junction of three roads heading for [[Oslo]], [[Trondheim]] and [[Kongsvinger]]. Kløfta is a town located in Ullensaker, Akershus, Norway. It has a population of 8 371 inhabitants as of 12 December 2023.[2] Kløfta has a growing sports team Kløfta IL which consists of football, handball, basketball, e-sport, table tennis, cycling and floorball, a great sports park has also been built in Bakkedalen. There are also a local shopping market locatede in Kløfta Romerikssenteret. Kløfta has three schools – a middle school and two first through seventh grade school, and several kindergartens.
Background
