Sir Walter Mildmay (bef. 152331 May 1589) was an English statesman who served as Chancellor of the Exchequer under Queen Elizabeth I.

He was a staunch Puritan, and founded Emmanuel College at the University of Cambridge to provide for extensive theological training for Protestant preachers.

He built Danbury Place in Danbury, Essex.
