Character History

Rory Deeks is a 11 year old boy. His father, Shane recently died after making his mother's life a misery. His mother, Sam moved to the bay to escape him and they both currently live with Jack, his stepfather.

Early Life

Rory's parents Shane and Sam Deeks were hapily married with two children, Roary and his older sister. His sister died, leaving the family in tourmoil. Things got worse when Sam caught Shane drug-dealing and reported him to the police. Shane was arrested and jailed, but vowed to get revenge on Sam. Ever since Sam and Rory had been fleeing from town to town to try and escape Shane. They eventually ended up in Summer Bay.

Summer Bay

Sam and Rory arrived in the bay and Sam took up a job at the hospital. It was there when she met Jack Holden and they started dating. Eventually they moved in together and Rory was delighted that they didn't have to keep moving.

Shane's Henchman

Just as things were going well, a friend of Shane's located his son Rory and former wife Sam and tried to attack them. After stalking them, he made his move and trapped Sam in the bush. Thankfully,Rory's stepfather Jack was on hand to save her, but Sam panicked and fled the bay. Rory was devastated by this.

Back in the bay

Jack located Sam and convinced her to return. She eventually agreed and they moved in with Jack again. Rory considered Jack as his father and enjoyed his mother being happy. He was delighted.

The End of Shane

Shane made one last attempt of hurting his son and ex-wife. He escaped from prison and kidnapped Rory. It was thought he had him in his car, and so Jack chased him down. After a dangerous police chase, Shane drove off the road and had a prolific crash. Jack was confused when Rory was not there in the wreckage. It was announced Shane was dead on the scene. Jack then went to rescue Rory and found him near a canal, where one of Shane's henchman had hidden him. Sam agreed to stay in the bay with Rory for good.

Sam's Marriage

Later, Sam proposed to Jack and the pair got married. Rory was delighted when he had a family again. However, Jack's ex-wife Martha tried to stir things up before the wedding which upset Rory. He was relieved when the pair got married. However, a few weeks into their marriage, it all went topsy-turvy after Jack found out about his mum's secret. After he left Summer Bay to live with his aunt, he blamed Jack for all that has happened to Sam, yet he refused to run away with her as confessed in the flashback during the murder investigation of Sam's death.

Sam's death

On April 4 2008, Samantha Holden (his mum) killed herself, leaving him an orphan. Rory also leaves the show in 2008. It is likely he goes to live with Sam's sister in the city
