Main characters

Lelouch Lamperouge

Main article: Lelouch Lamperouge

Lelouch Lamperouge (ルルーシュ・ランペルージ, Rurūshu Ranperūji) is the title character and protagonist of the series. Seemingly an ordinary 17-year-old student at the Ashford Academy in the Britannian colony of Area 11 (Japan), he is in actuality Lelouch Vi Britannia (ルルーシュ・ヴィ・ブリタニア, Rurūshu Vi Buritania), the exiled Eleventh Prince of the Britannian Imperial Family and son of the Emperor Charles Di Britannia by the late Empress Marianne Vi Britannia. Formerly seventeenth in line for the throne, he was disowned for questioning his father's cold regard following his mother's assassination and the crippling of his sister Nunnally Vi Britannia. Seven years later, he obtains an ability known as Geass, which enables him to compel others to behave as he wishes. Seeking to build a better world for his sister, he pursues the destruction of Britannia under his alter-ego — Zero.

Suzaku Kururugi

Suzaku Kururugi (枢木 スザク, Kururugi Suzaku) is Lelouch's childhood friend and son of Japan's last prime minister, Genbu Kururugi. He is both a secondary protagonist and antagonist of the series, aligned against Zero's Black Knights but nevertheless intent on changing the Britannian Empire for the better. He claims that achieving results by wrong or illegal methods is meaningless, wanting to change Britannia from within. Suzaku is an Honorary Britannian and part of the Britannia army, later becoming the pilot of the experimental Knightmare Frame Lancelot as a member of the R&D Division. In the second season, Suzaku is granted a position in the Knight of Rounds by the Emperor for his capture of Zero. His current title and rank is Knight of Seven. Suzaku desires to become the Knight of One, a status that will allow him to rule Area 11 by his choosing.

C.C.

C.C. (シー・ツー, Shī Tsū, pronounced "C2") is a seemingly immortal, green-haired girl who bestows the power of Geass upon Lelouch under the condition he grant her greatest wish. She passively oversees Lelouch's missions to ensure that he is not killed. In the past, her abilities caught the interest of Britannia and she was imprisoned for experimentation purposes.

Nunnally Lamperouge

Main article: Nunnally Lamperouge

Nunnally Lamperouge (ナナリー・ランペルージ, Nanarī Ranperūji) is Lelouch's younger sister. Injured in her mother Marianne's brutal assassination, she is wheelchair-bound and blind from psychological trauma. Following her return to the Imperial Family in the second season, she has re-assumed her birth name, Nunnally Vi Britannia (ナナリー・ヴィ・ブリタニア, Nanarī Vi Buritania), and is at her own request appointed Viceroy of Area 11. It is on her behalf that Lelouch pursues the destruction of Britannia and the forging of a peaceful world.

Kallen Stadtfeld

Kallen Stadtfeld (カレン・シュタットフェルト, Karen Shutattoferuto) is half-Japanese and half-Britannian, though she believes herself to be Japanese at heart and prefers to be known by her birth name, Kallen Kōzuki (紅月カレン, Kōzuki Karen). She is a member of a Japanese resistance cell and later joins Zero's Order of the Black Knights, where she is appointed leadership of the Zero Squadron, Zero's personal bodyguards. She is one of the Order's most talented pilots, and pilots the unique Guren Type-02. Her devotion to Zero is matchless among the rest of the Black Knights.

Rolo Lamperouge

Rolo Lamperouge (ロロ.ランペルージ, Roro Ranperūji) is introduced in the second season as a student at Ashford Academy and Lelouch's brother, but is secretly a Britannian intelligence agent and assassin assigned to observe Lelouch. He assumes this position following Lelouch's memory erasure at the end of the first season. He treasures a locket given to him by Lelouch on his birthday. He is the pilot of the Vincent Prototype. Rolo possesses a Geass power in his right eye that allows him to freeze the subjective experience of time for all persons within a given range. Manipulated by Lelouch, he becomes a supporter of the Black Knights. Rolo also appears in the Sony PlayStation 2/Sony PlayStation Portable video game, Code Geass: Lost Colors, where he is sighted on Kaminejima together with V.V.

Li Xingke

Li Xingke (黎　星刻, Lii Shinkuu) is a military officer in the Chinese Federation, said to equal Lelouch in strategy and Suzaku in strength. The son of a low-ranked official, Li climbed his way through the ranks of the government with the intent to transform it. He arrives in Area 11 as a bodyguard to the Federation's consul, Gaohai. He is extremely skilled in swordsmanship and constantly carries a sword by his side. He also pilots the Shenhu Knightmare Frame.

Ashford Academy

Ashford Academy is a private school for Britannian students in Area 11, owned by the Ashford family. Lelouch and Nunnally initially live in the school campus under the protection of the Ashford family, using their mother's maiden name, Lamperouge, as a means of hiding their actual identities.

Arthur

Arthur (アーサー, Āsā) is a stray cat which Third Princess Euphemia befriends after she arrives in Area 11. Arthur is later chased throughout the school grounds by the entire student body after wandering into the Lamperouge residence and escaping with Lelouch's Zero mask. The student council adopts him and builds a cat house in the council room. A running gag in the series involves Arthur constantly taking a bite at Suzaku's hand or leg. Despite this one-sided relationship, Suzaku takes the feline along with him to Britannia, where Arthur takes a liking to Knight of Rounds member Anya Alstreim. When Suzaku returns to Ashford Academy in the second season, he brings Arthur back with him.

Milly Ashford

Milly Ashford (ミレイ・アッシュフォード, Mirei Ashufōdo) is the granddaughter of the school superintendent, Ruben K. Ashford, and president of the Student Council. Milly enjoys teasing Shirley and is eager to discover Lelouch's weaknesses — enough so to rally the entire school into chasing after Arthur when she suspects the cat to hold something precious to him. She is aware of Lelouch's identity as a former prince of Britannia, since her family closely supported his mother, Empress Marianne. This action, however, led to the family's nobility status being stripped. The Ashfords, wanting to restore their status, have two options in doing so: either reinstate Lelouch and Nunnally back into the royal family or arrange a marriage to a noble. The Ashfords opt for the latter, and arrange a marriage interview for Milly with Earl Lloyd Asplund. In the second picture drama special included on the DVD release, it states her grandfather and Nina's grandfather worked on the Io and Ganymede Knightmare Frames. She is also secretly in love with Lelouch, but realizes the need to restore her family's status by marrying a noble. After the events of the first season, Milly remains a student on campus because she failed her examinations, although it is noted that she did so on purpose to remain on campus with her friends.

Rivalz Cardemonde

Rivalz Cardemonde (リヴァル・カルデモンド, Rivaru Karudemondo) is one of Lelouch's friends, usually driving Lelouch around on his motorbike as an ante for their bets on chess games. He has a part-time job as a bartender/waiter and carries a deep, affectionate nature for Milly Ashford, especially when it is announced that she is going through a marriage interview. Shown in-series and in the DVD-exclusive bonus material, Rivalz forms a fast friendship with Suzaku after he joins with the student council at Lelouch's request. Rivalz's real surname is not Cardemonde, but rather his mother's maiden name, which he uses since his parents became estranged with each other. He was born and partially raised in California.

Nina Einstein

Voiced by: Saeko Chiba (Japanese); Kim Mai Guest (English)

Nina Einstein (ニーナ・アインシュタイン, Nīna Ainshutain) is introduced as a bookish member of the student council at Ashford Academy. Nina demonstrates an acute xenophobic reaction to Elevens and is initially intimidated by Suzaku when he arrives in the school. She develops an intense (almost obsessive) crush on the Third Princess Euphemia after the latter helps her during a traumatizing hostage incident at the Lake Kawaguchi Convention Center Hotel. She subsequently comes to rely on Euphemia for emotional support. Lloyd Asplund is interested in Nina's personal research into the possibility of using Uranium-235 as a fuel. Following Euphemia's death, Nina becomes emotionally and mentally unstable. In a misguided attempt to kill Zero and avenge the princess, she arms the Ashford's Ganymede Knightmare Frame with a prototype nuclear reactor during the Black Rebellion, intending to detonate it. It fails to explode, however, and she is eventually recruited by Second Prince Schneizel as chief of his "InVogue" research team headquartered in Dallas, Texas. She is continuing her research, despite having created nothing but failed prototypes. Schneizel seems to keep her stable by reminding her of how Euphemia would act. Her bitterness towards Zero is not forgotten.

Shirley Fenette

Shirley Fenette (シャーリー・フェネット, Shārī Fenetto) is a typical, all-around nice girl who is exceptionally friendly and loves her friends. She is a member of the swimming club. She admits to being infatuated with Lelouch since his enrollment on campus, but finds it extremely hard to get his attention.

Sayoko Shinozaki

Sayoko Shinozaki (篠崎 咲世子, Shinozaki Sayoko) is a kindhearted Japanese woman who serves as a maid to the Lamperouge siblings in their residence. She was originally Milly Ashford's personal maid, but was reassigned to Lelouch and Nunnally when they were placed under the Ashfords' care. She taught Nunnally how to make origami and assists in taking care of her whenever Lelouch is not around. She is employed by Diethard Reid as a spy for the Black Knights. Lelouch secretly reveals that he is Zero to her in the second season. The DVD releases for the series occasionally promote a segment called "Sayoko's Diary", which depicts her view of the daily life at the Ashford Academy. Among other things, her limited perception of certain events leads her to believe that Lelouch has numerous sexual fetishes, including crossdressing and incest. Sayoko apparently has a hint of affection for Suzaku Kururugi.

Mia I. Hilmick

Voiced by: Hitomi Miyake

Mia I. Hilmick (ミーヤ・I・ヒルミック, Miiya Ai Hirumikku) is a member of the Ashford Academy swimming club. Her name is inspired by that of her voice actress.

The Order of the Black Knights

The emblem of the Order of the Black Knights

The Order of the Black Knights (黒の騎士団, Kuro no Kishidan), or simply the Black Knights, is a group of revolutionaries created by Lelouch in his campain to overthrow Britannia. He introduces the group to the world as an organization which protects those without power from those who have it. Under his leadership, the Black Knights grow in strength exponentially, becoming a force rivaling the Britannian army.

Though Lelouch reorganizes the Black Knights to form a structured hierarchy and chain of command, the Black Knights rely heavily on his masterful strategies, unable to act effectively when he has not given them specific orders. During the Battle of Tokyo, the group falls apart when Lelouch suddenly takes leave. Several key members are arrested by Britannia, while others go into hiding.

Upon Lelouch's return, he uses his Geass on Gaohai to gain control of the Chinese Federation Consulate as the new headquarters for the Black Knights, as it cannot be attacked by the Britannians under international law; under the influence of Geass, Gaohai agrees to work with the Black Knights. However, Gaohai is killed by Li Xingke and Lelouch moves the Black Knights out of the Consulate, having them hide in their submarine. Lelouch later engineers the legal exile of every member to the Chinese Federation, allowing the Black Knights to escape from Britannian territory while removing Nunnally, the new Viceroy of Area 11, from the fighting.

Former Resistance members

Resistance (レジスタンス) is a name generically attributed to the loosely connected network of anti-Britannian militants within Area 11, simply referred to by Britannian officials as terrorists. The characters listed are key members of an unnamed rebel cell led originally by Naoto Kouzuki (紅月ナオト), the brother of Kallen Stadtfeld. Upon his death, leadership was succeeded by his close friend Kaname Ōgi. Ōgi later deferred this leadership to Zero, who reformed the group as the core of the Black Knights organization. Ōgi has noted on occasion that the stealing of supplies he observed of members during his administration continues under Zero.

Kaname Ōgi

Kaname Ōgi (扇 要, Ōgi Kaname) was the leader of the original resistance cell, but turned leadership over to Zero, accepting him as the more competent and effective commander. When Zero reorganizes the Black Knights, he appoints Ōgi as deputy commander.

Inoue

Voiced by: Kikuko Inoue and Ami Koshimizu (Japanese)

Inoue (井上) is a woman with mid-length, blue hair. She is a commander who provides logistical support. During the Black Rebellion, she is killed when the upper-half of her Burai is destroyed. She shares her voice actor's surname.

Yoshitaka Minami

Voiced by: Yasuyuki Kase (Japanese); Keith Silverstein (English)

Yoshitaka Minami (南 佳高) is a bespectacled male who is the Black Knights' first secret corps commander. He is injured during the Battle of Tokyo, but survives the Black Rebellion. However, he has shown signs of disillusionment with Zero.

Kento Sugiyama

Voiced by: Noriaki Sugiyama (Japanese); Grant George (English)

Kento Sugiyama (杉山 賢人) is a male with dark-greenish hair. He shares the same surname as his seiyū.

Shinichirō Tamaki

Voiced by: Kazunari Tanaka (Japanese); Michael Lindsay (English)

Shinichirō Tamaki (玉城 真一郎, Tamaki Shin'ichirō) is the leader of the second special squad of the Black Knights. A hot-headed person, he was initially skeptical about Zero, but despite his criticisms, he shows strong, almost fanatical support for him, particularly after the Special Administrative Zone for an independent Japan fails. His rashness is shown to border on recklessness, as he orders several students of Ashford Academy to be executed against Zero's wishes, though extenuating circumstances prevent his orders from being carried out. He dreams of being a bureaucrat, and states that if he didn't have his dream to aim for, he would probably have become a Refrain user. Of all the Black Knights, he seems to be the most critical of C.C.'s involvement in the organization, complaining that she's only there because she's Zero's lover. C.C. in turn claims Tamaki has a wide array of useless talents.

Yoshida

Voiced by: Ryūzō Hasuike (Japanese); Doug Erholtz (English)

Yoshida (吉田) is a male with dark-brownish hair involved in the provision of logistical support. He often wears a short-sleeved version of the Black Knights' uniform's jacket. He is killed in the Battle of Tokyo by Suzaku.

Former Japan Liberation Front members

The Japan Liberation Front (日本解放戦線, Nippon Kaihō Sensen) is another anti-Britannia organization consisting of former Japanese military personnel. Among their ranks are the Four Holy Swords (四聖剣, Shisei-ken), an elite unit consisting of Kyōshirō Tōdōh and four of his most devoted followers. After Cornelia takes over as Viceroy of Area 11, her campaigns all but wipe out the Japan Liberation Front. They are reduced to hiding in a sakuradite tanker, and during the midst of a raid launched by Britannian forces against them, a mine set up by Lelouch without the knowledge of the rest of the Black Knights destroys their ship; their death is ruled out as suicide. All that remains of their group is Tōdōh and the Four Holy Swords. Tōdōh is later captured by Britannian forces, and after he is rescued by the Black Knights at his subordinates' behest, his group joins them.

Kyōshirō Tōdōh

Kyōshirō Tōdōh (藤堂 鏡志朗, Tōdō Kyōshirō) is the head of the Black Knights' military operations. He is a chequered former general and an extremely talented fighter. He earned the nickname Tōdōh of Miracles (奇跡の藤堂, Kiseki no Tōdō) for his singular defeat of the otherwise unstoppable Holy Britannian Empire during the invasion of Japan, remarkably managing this feat without the use of Knightmare Frames. This event would later be known as the Miracle of Itsukushima. He was a childhood instructor to Suzaku Kururugi, and is one of the few Japanese people who understands his ideal. Tōdōh is often seen bearing a katana at his side.

Shōgo Asahina

Shōgo Asahina (朝比奈 省悟, Asahina Shōgo) is a male member of the Four Holy Swords. He wears glasses and has a distinctive scar down the right side of his face. He is the leader of the first squadron of the Black Knights.

Nagisa Chiba

Voiced by: Saeko Chiba

Nagisa Chiba (千葉 凪沙, Chiba Nagisa) is the sole female member of the Four Holy Swords. Nagisa is an admirer and devoted follower of Tōdō and appears to have a form of unrequited love for him. A year after the Black Rebellion, she harbors animosity towards Zero for abandoning them.

Ryōga Senba

Voiced by: Yū Shimaka

Ryōga Senba (仙波 崚河, Senba Ryōga) is a rotund male member of the Four Holy Swords. He is its oldest member and a veteran soldier. He is the leader of the second squadron of the Black Knights. In the second season, he is killed by Gino during an assault on a Britannian aerial transport. Ryōga's last words were that he wanted to live on to see Japan being liberated.

Kōsetsu Urabe

Voiced by: Issei Futamata (Japanese); Jason C. Miller (English)

Kōsetsu Urabe (卜部 巧雪, Urabe Kōsetsu) is a blue-haired male member of the Four Holy Swords. He is one of the few top officers of the Black Knights not captured by Britannia after the Black Rebellion. In the second season, he leads the attack on Babel Tower to retrieve Zero, and sacrifices himself to buy Zero enough time to escape.

Kyōto House

The Six Houses of Kyōto (キョウト六家, Kyouto Rokka), called the Kyōto House for short, is a secret society of former Japanese elite aligned against Britannia. They use the Britannian-sponsored Elevens' self-governance council NAC as their public face. They provide support for anti-Britannian resistance groups, the Order of the Black Knights in particular, by supplying equipment, weapons, and Knightmare Frames. The Sumeragi House leads the organization. As per the organization's official title, six families hold seats in the administrative council. The council members are: Taizō Kirihara, Hidenobu Kubouin (公方院秀信), Tousai Munakata (宗像唐斎), Tatsunori Osakabe (刑部辰紀), Kaguya Sumeragi, and a man known by his family name, Yoshino (吉野). After the failed Black Rebellion, all but Kaguya were executed as accomplices to terrorism. The status of the NAC following this is not made clear.

Taizō Kirihara

Voiced by: Shinpachi Tsuji

Taizō Kirihara (桐原 泰三, Kirihara Taizō) is the founder of Kirihara Industries (桐原産業, Kirihara Sangyō) and leader of the Kyōto House. He is an elderly industrialist who built his wealth upon the mining of sakuradite. During the Kururugi Administration, he used his considerable influence to support the government as a behind-the-scenes administrator. He was regarded as a traitor to the Japanese people following the Britannian invasion for his public role as an accomplice to imperial colonization. Secretly, however, he manages resistance movements against the colonial government. He came to know both Lelouch and Nunnally while they were living at the Kururugi Shrine, and, in knowledge of the circumstances leading to Lelouch's assumption of the identity of Zero, he grants the Black Knights vital funding and weapons. After the Black Rebellion, he was executed for supporting the Black Knights.

Kaguya Sumeragi

Voiced by: Mika Kanai

Kaguya Sumeragi (皇 神楽耶, Sumeragi Kaguya) is the young head mistress of the Kyōto House, and a supporter of the Black Knights. Despite her age and physique, she possesses a strong will and is highly influential amongst the Houses. Kaguya has admired Zero since his debut, and wishes to have his hand in marriage. Nothing anyone says contrary to this desire seems to faze her, including the suggestion that Zero might be sleeping with other women. Kaguya met Lelouch and Nunnally during their childhood at the Kururugi Shrine, and is Suzaku's cousin. She is the only living member of the Kyōto House following the Black Rebellion, the others having been executed.

Other members

Rakshata Chawla

Voiced by: Masayo Kurata

Rakshata Chawla (ラクシャータ・チャウラー, Rakushāta Chaurā) is an Indian scientist and the head of the Black Knights' research and development team. She has extensive experience in medical cybernetics, and appears to have been an academy acquaintance of Lloyd Asplund and Cécile Croomy. Rakshata is not fond of speaking of the past, but it is known that she studied at the Imperial Colchester Institute. Formerly a supplier of arms to the Kyoto House based out of the Militarized Zone of India, Rakshata is the creator of the Guren Type-02 and its fukushahadō (輻射波動, lit. radiation surge) weapon. She also developed the Gefjun Disturber to disable Knightmare Frames. Most of the time, she affectionately refers to her technological creations as her "children" and treats them with such care. She is never seen without her tobacco pipe.

Ayame Futaba

Ayame Futaba (双葉綾芽, Futaba Ayame) is one of the new volunteer members of the Black Knights introduced in the second season. She serves aboard the Black Knights' new flagship, the Irakuga. She wears her hair as a pair of purple mid-length curls.

Ichijiku Hinata

Voiced by: Sayaka Ohara

Ichijiku Hinata (日向 いちじく, Hinata Ichijiku) is one of the new volunteer members of the Black Knights introduced in the second season. She serves aboard the Black Knights' new flagship, the Irakuga. She wears her hair in a ponytail.

Kizuna Kagesaki

Voiced by: Akio Suyama

Kizuna Kagesaki (影崎キズナ, Kagesaki Kizuna) is the third squadron leader of the Black Knights. He is killed during the Battle of Tokyo by Jeremiah Gottwald's Siegfried.

Mutsuki Minase

Voiced by: Yūko Gotō

Mutsuki Minase (水無瀬むつき, Minase Mutsuki) is one of the new volunteer members of the Black Knights introduced in the second season. She serves aboard the Black Knights' new flagship, the Irakuga. She wears her hair straight, but with colored beads laced in.

Diethard Reid

Voiced by: George Nakata (Japanese); Jamieson Price (English)

Diethard Reid (ディートハルト・リート, Dītoharuto Rīto) is the head of information, espionage, and public relations for the Black Knights. A graduate of the Imperial Britannia Central University's Faculty of Law, Diethard is a former producer and member of the press staff at Hi-TV, a Britannian television station. Following the appearance of Zero and the announcement of his goals, Diethard joins the Black Knights, wishing to witness and document Zero's campaign to overthrow Britannia and rule the world. Like Kallen Stadtfeld, he shows fierce loyalty to Zero, whom he views as his source of inspiration. He harbors contempt for the Britannian Imperial Family and its supporters, on occasion commenting to Rakshata Chawla that "Britannia is a finished product" and that he would rather take part in creating something new.

Diethard has proven himself to be highly perceptive, easily picking up on the likely outcomes of Zero's plans. He recognizes immediately that Zero is responsible for the destruction of the Japan Liberation Front's tanker ship, a fact which no other member the organization is aware of. However, this same trait also causes him to overreach himself, most evident in his ordering an assassination attempt on Suzaku Kururugi after being instructed otherwise by Zero. When Kallen wonders if he can be trusted, Lelouch replies that Diethard is dedicated to making Zero a god, which makes him predictable and thus easy to control.

Holy Britannian Empire

A royal kingdom and international superpower, the Holy Britannian Empire controls about one-third of the entire world. Based in the Americas, the territories under Britannian rule include Japan, Greenland, New Zealand, Philippines, islands from the Pacific Ocean and a recently conquered Middle Eastern country. Contrary to its name, it does not control the British Isles, having lost them to other European powers during the 1800s. The Britannia flag features a lion and a snake intertwined, representing "king" and "death and rebirth", respectively.

Britannian Imperial Family

The numerical order of the princes and princesses of the imperial family is given by the status of their mothers, the queens. For example, Cornelia and Euphemia are the Second and the Third Princess, respectively, while Lelouch is only the Eleventh Prince. It can be inferred that Cornelia and Euphemia's mother had a higher status than Marianne, the mother of Lelouch and Nunnally. Also, the numbering of the imperial princes and princesses is sorted by gender. For example, Euphemia is the Third Princess and Clovis is the Third Prince. The princesses at least are able to elect a personal guardian called a "Knight", who are given authority and placed directly under their command, with their own unit. Cornelia's Knight is Guilford who, along with her, commands a unit of Gloucesters.

Charles Di Britannia

Charles Di Britannia (シャルル・ジ・ブリタニア, Sharuru Ji Buritania) is Lelouch's father and the 98th Emperor of the Britannian Empire. A strong proponent of Social Darwinism, he views equality as an evil that must be dispelled, and encourages class conflict and military expansionism so as to maintain social evolution and progress. Shortly after his mother Marianne's death, Lelouch questions the Emperor's lack of concern for her safety. Irritated at Lelouch's spoiled insolence, the Emperor sends him and Nunnally to Japan as political hostages. In the second season, the Emperor is revealed to possess a Geass with the apparent ability to rewrite memories. His actions are revealed to be in preparation for a war against unidentified gods.

Marianne Vi Britannia

Marianne Vi Britannia (マリアンヌ・ヴィ・ブリタニア, Mariannu Vi Buritania), nicknamed "Marianne the Flash" for her piloting skills, is the 5th wife of the Emperor of Britannia and the mother of Lelouch and Nunnally. Her commoner descent earned her the jealousy and hatred of the other imperial wives and the nobles of Charles' court. Lelouch suspects this sentiment to have motivated her murder, though her murder is also suspected to have been motivated by her connections to the rising Ashford Foundation as a way to eliminate their presence in the market.

Odysseus U Britannia

Odysseus U Britannia (オデュッセウス・ウ・ブリタニア, Odyusseusu U Buritania) is the First Prince of the Britannian Imperial Family. Though in theory he is the Crown Prince and first-in-line to succeed the throne, his performance in many areas is quite plebeian compared to that of his younger brother, Schneizel. He also appears to be fairly indecisive, unable to figure out what to do in the face of the Black Knights' open rebellion in Area 11; Schneizel eventually has to step forward and volunteer to aid Cornelia's forces. In the second season, he is engaged to the Empress of the Chinese Federation in a marriage of political convenience.

Guinevere Britannia

Guinevere Britannia (ギネヴィア・ブリタニア, Ginevia Buritania) is the First Princess of the Britannian Imperial Family. She likes to spend her wealth on extravagant monuments and buildings. She has a tattoo above her left breast.

Schneizel El Britannia

Schneizel El Britannia (シュナイゼル・エル・ブリタニア, Shunaizeru Eru Buritania) is the Second Prince of the Britannian Imperial Family and the Prime Minister of the Holy Britannian Empire. He is a strategist on par with Lelouch, and the only person Lelouch was unable to beat in chess as a child. When questioned by Lelouch, Clovis suggests that Schneizel knows the truth behind Marianne's murder, and Cornelia likewise notes that it was Schneizel who carried the body out under the Emperor's orders. The Emperor, despite being aware of the fact that Schneizel intends to challenge him, seems to be lenient and lets his son do as he pleases. Though ruthless and cold, Schneizel is extremely charismatic and caring toward his subordinates.

Cornelia Li Britannia

Cornelia Li Britannia (コーネリア・リ・ブリタニア, Kōneria Ri Buritania) is the Second Princess of the Britannian Imperial Family and General-in-Chief of the Imperial Army. Extremely skilled in Knightmare Frame combat, she establishes Britannian rule in the Middle Eastern Area 18 shortly before her appointment as Viceroy of Area 11 following Clovis' death. Upon arrival, she launches a military campaign against Zero's Black Knights and the other rebel factions. Cornelia is injured during the Black Rebellion, and her current location and condition are unknown. Her Knight Guilford and his Glaston Knights remain stationed in Area 11, awaiting her return.

Clovis La Britannia

Clovis La Britannia (クロヴィス・ラ・ブリタニア, Kurovisu Ra Buritania) is the Third Prince of the Britannian Imperial Family and former Viceroy of Area 11. He has the distinction of being both the first to learn that Lelouch is alive and the first to become a casualty of his revenge. Clovis was apparently involved in the research on C.C. and those like her.

Euphemia Li Britannia

Euphemia Li Britannia (ユーフェミア・リ・ブリタニア, Yūfemia Ri Buritania) is Lelouch's half-sister and the Third Princess of the Britannian Imperial Family; she is the sibling Lelouch cares most about after Nunnally. Seeking to alleviate the suffering of the Japanese people, she becomes the Sub-Viceroy of Area 11 and knights Suzaku so that he might aid her. Toward the end of the first season, she announces her intent to form the Special Administrative Zone of Japan in the region under Mount Fuji, giving the Japanese people their name and country back. During the administration changeover ceremony, she falls under the accidental influence of Lelouch's Geass and is compelled to kill the Japanese people. She is shot by Zero to stop the ensuing chaos and dies from her injuries, sparking the Black Rebellion. She comes to be known as the "Massacre Princess" after the Black Knights are defeated and order is restored.

Carline Le Britannia

Carline Le Britannia (カリーヌ・レ・ブリタニア, Kariinu Re Buritania) is the Fifth Princess of the Britannian Imperial Family and the same age as Nunnally. Her personality is the exact opposite of Nunnally's, deriving pleasure from war and violence. She appears to dislike Nunnally for her pacifist stance.

The Knights of Rounds

The Knights of Rounds (ナイトオブラウンズ, Naito Obu Raunzu) is a unit of twelve elite soldiers under the direct command of the Emperor of Britannia. Only seven of the twelve have been revealed. They operate outside the normal command structure of the Britannian Military.

Bismarck Waldstein

Bismarck Waldstein (ビスマルク・ヴァルトシュタイン, Bisumaruku Varutoshutain) is a one-eyed man who presently bears the title of the Knight of One, the strongest amongst the Rounds. The holder of this office may for his services to the Emperor request governance of any colonial area of his choosing.

Gino Weinberg

Gino Weinberg (ジノ・ヴァインベルグ, Jino Vainberugu) is the Knight of Three, an ace pilot of noble descent. He is a positive-minded and friendly individual who takes an immediate liking to Suzaku upon his appointment to the Knights of Rounds. He pilots the transformable Knightmare Frame Tristan.

Anya Alstreim

Anya Alstreim (アーニャ・アールストレイム, Ānya Ārusutoreimu) is the Knight of Six and pilot of the heavy assault Knightmare Frame Mordred. A girl of few expressions, Anya appears disinterested in the world around her. She holds the distinction of being the youngest individual ever appointed to the Knights of Rounds, and shares a friendship with the similarly young Suzaku and Gino. Seeking to be remembered, she regularly uses her camera phone to update her blog. She has the Britannian emblem tattooed on her left arm. She develops an interest in Kallen's Guren Type-02 after being disabled by it in battle.

Nonette Enneagram

Voiced by: Satomi Arai

Nonette Enneagram (ノネット・エニアグラム, Nonetto Eniaguramu) is the Knight of Nine. She attended military school with Second Princess Cornelia, who considers Nonette her senior. She happens to be one of the few people Cornelia actually fears. Her name contains the Latin and Greek prefixes for 9, non- and ennea- respectively. She also appeared in the PSP/PS2 video game, Code Geass: Lost Colors.

Luciano Brandli

Luciano Brandli (ルキアーノ・ブランドリー, Rukiāno Burandorī) is the Knight of Ten; he is a laid-back man who often does as he pleases, but is still fiercely loyal to the Empire.

Monica Kruszewski

Monica Kruszewski (モニカ・クルシェフスキー, Monika Kurushefusukī) is the Knight of Twelve; she is a gentle-looking woman with blonde hair whose appearance masks just how dangerous she can be.

General Apson

General Apson (アプソン将軍, Apuson Shogun) is a Britannian general and commander of the aerial fleet that escorts Nunnally to Area 11 upon her appointment as the new Viceroy. During Zero's attempted kidnapping of Nunnally, the assistance of increasingly high-ranking military officials makes Apson fear for his reputation. To that end, he commandeers the on-board cannons and attempts to fight back, only to hit the one of vessel's Float System engines, causing its eventual crash into the ocean. He is killed by Tōdōh in return.

Bartley Asprius

Voiced by: Katsuhisa Hōki (Japanese); Peter Spellos (English)

Bartley Asprius (バトレー・アスプリウス, Batorē Asupuriusu) is a balding Britannian general and one of the few who know of the research conducted under Project R in Area 11. After the assassination of Clovis, he is stripped of his rank and sent back to Britannia as a prisoner. He subsequently returns to the military under the command of Prince Schneizel.

Andreas Darlton

Voiced by: Kiyoyuki Yanada (Japanese); Travis Willingham (English)

Andreas Darlton (アンドレアス・ダールトン, Andoreasu Dāruton) is a confidante and loyal subordinate to the Second Princess Cornelia. Darlton is an extremely tall, well-built man with a diagonal scar running across his face. He does not particularly care for the rampant racism that plagues the Britannian hierarchy, and makes it clear to Suzaku that effectiveness in serving a purpose is equivalent to merit in his eyes. He is also one of the few Britannians that actually approves of Suzaku's ascension to knighthood. During the Battle of Tokyo, Darlton disables Cornelia's Knightmare Frame under the influence of Lelouch's Geass and is subsequently killed by the Gawain's Hadron Cannons. In the Code Geass picture book 8.75, Darlton is revealed to have multiple adopted sons, five of whom became the Glaston Knights.

Jeremiah Gottwald

Jeremiah Gottwald (ジェレミア・ゴットバルト, Jeremia Gottobaruto) is an elite Knightmare Frame pilot deeply concerned with the maintenance of Purist supremacy within Britannian society. He attended the Imperial Colchester Institute before joining the Britannian army. He is disgraced by Zero during his attempted scapegoating of Suzaku Kururugi. Lelouch invents the fictional Orange project to sow seeds of suspicion among Jeremiah's subordinates, then uses his Geass to compel Jeremiah to help him escape with Suzaku. Jeremiah is stripped of his rank and reduced to a mere pilot, constantly taunted about his failure with the nickname "Orange", and he becomes obsessed with regaining his former glory. He is badly injured during a battle with Kallen in her Guren Type-02 and found by Prince Schneizel's team of scientists, who enhance him with cybernetic implants. During the Black Rebellion, he awakens prematurely and steals the powerful Siegfried Knightmare to find Zero. C.C. attempts to drag him and his Knightmare into the crushing depths of the ocean in her Gawain, but he somehow escapes and ends up as an ally of V.V.

Gilbert G.P. Guilford

Gilbert G.P. Guilford (ギルバート・G・P・ギルフォード, Girubāto. G. P. Girufōdo) is a slender, dark-haired, bespectacled man who was once known as the 'Spearhead of the Empire'. He is confidante and personal knight to the Second Princess Cornelia. Guilford informs Jeremiah Gottwald of his demotion shortly after his arrival. After Viceroy Carares is killed in the Babel Tower incident in the second season, Guilford serves as a temporary replacement prior to Nunnally taking over the position.

Glaston Knights

The Glaston Knights are a group of elite Knightmare Frame pilots under the command of Gilbert G.P. Guilford. All five are the adopted sons of Andreas Darlton. Their names are Alfred G. Darlton (blond hair), Bart L. Darlton (dark hair), Claudio S. Darlton (brown hair), David T. Darlton (red hair), and Edgar N. Darlton (gray hair). They dress in identical red uniforms and wear visors. The Glaston Knights pilot Gloucesters equipped with missile launchers. They are introduced in episode 21, having just arrived from the mainland, and are instrumental in defeating the Black Knights during their attempted rebellion in the first season finale. In the second season, Alfred and Bart are killed during an attempted execution of the Black Knights captured during the rebellion: Bart's Gloucester is crushed by a G-1 Mobile Base, while Kallen kills Alfred.

Kanon Maldini

Kanon Maldini (カノン・マルディーニ) is a subordinate of Schneizel El Britannia. He accompanies Schneizel when the Second Prince meets with Nina at the Dallas laboratory, where she is experimenting on why the detonator of her nuclear weapon failed to go off during the Black Knights' rebellion in Tokyo. He makes a joke to Milly Ashford about being Schneizel's assistant in both public and private matters, only to wave it off and claim that Schneizel likes to keep weird people around. He resembles Michael Garret from Gun X Sword, another mecha series previously directed by Gorō Taniguchi.

Villetta Nu

Villetta Nu (ヴィレッタ・ヌゥ, Viretta Nū) is an elite Knightmare Frame pilot and originally a subordinate of Jeremiah Gottwald. She is more collected than Jeremiah in battle. Though she is not of noble blood, she supports Jeremiah and the Purist faction in the hope that it would earn her a real title. After Jeremiah's supposed death at Kallen's hands, she tries to expose Lelouch as Zero with the help of Shirley Fenette, only to be shot by Shirley. She loses her memory and is found by Kaname Ōgi, with whom she lives until regain her memory at the end of the season. In the second season, she has earned a title of nobility and is employed by Britannian Intelligence to observe Lelouch for contact with C.C. at Ashford Academy, using the cover identity of a gym teacher. She is quite popular within the school, and is also the head of the swimming club, of which Shirley Fenette is a member. She is blackmailed by Lelouch into hiding his recovered memories through her time with Ōgi.

Kewell Soresi

Voiced by: Yasuyuki Kase (Japanese); Keith Silverstein (English)

Kewell Soresi (キューエル・ソレーシー, Kyūeru Sorēshī) is an officer of the Britannian Army. Kewell belongs to the Purist faction and stands by Jeremiah's side in scapegoating Suzaku Kururugi. When Jeremiah's incomprehensible actions lead to Suzaku's escape with Zero, he leads the rest of the Purist officers in an unsuccessful attempt to kill Jeremiah. He later dies at the Battle of Narita. In the novels, he is stated to have a younger sister named Marika (マリーカ) who attends a military academy somewhere in Area 11.

Lloyd Asplund

Voiced by: Tetsu Shiratori (Japanese); Liam O'Brien (English)

Lloyd Asplund (ロイド・アスプルンド, Roido Asupurundo) is an earl of the Britannian nobility and the developer of the elite Knightmare Frame Lancelot. So as not be reminded of the fragility of human lives and friendship, Lloyd immerses himself in science and has come to view people as nothing more than tools — he regards Suzaku, for example, as a mere component of the machine that he pilots. He has tendency to mock others and is often rebuked for this behavior by Cécile Croomy, his assistant. He is engaged to wed Milly Ashford, but has agreed to the union mostly in hope that he might obtain the designs of the Knightmare Frame Ganymede. As such, he has to be forced into doing nice things for her by Suzaku. Prior to joining the military, he attended the Imperial Colchester Institute. Lloyd's research organization, Camelot (キャメロット), is an irregular division of the Britannian Military and has been granted permission by Prince Schneizel to operate outside the command structure and regulations of the regular Britannian armed forces.

Cécile Croomy

Cécile Croomy (セシル・クルーミー, Seshiru Kurūmī) is one of the Lancelot's developers and Lloyd's assistant. Cécile is a kind-hearted woman and a good friend to Suzaku, often helping him with homework. She also acts as Lloyd's conscience, not hesitating to scold him or physically punish him for his unintentionally rude remarks. Cécile is a capable Knightmare Frame pilot, managing to single-handedly hold the entire contingent of Black Knights sent to occupy Ashford Academy during the Black Rebellion at bay using a Sutherland modified with equipment from the Lancelot. Prior to joining Lloyd in the military, she studied at the Imperial Colchester Institute. A recurring joke is that Cécile is a bad cook, which no one has the heart to tell her: her recipes includes onigiri mixed with blueberry jam and sandwiches made with ginger, sugar, and wasabi. Its a possibility that she secretly loves Lloyd.

Carares

Voiced by: Yūji Mikimoto

Carares (カラレス, Kararesu) is the short-lived Viceroy of Area 11 in the second season, appointed following Cornelia's disappearance. A ruthless and cruel man, Carares wishes to have a firm grip on the region and routinely holds executions in the Imperial Gardens designed by Third Prince Clovis. Shortly after regaining his memories, Lelouch engineers his death by collapsing the Babel Tower directly on top of his G-1 mobile base.

Miss Romeyer

Voiced by: Akeno Watanabe

Miss Romeyer (ミス・ローマイヤー, Misu Roumaiyaa) is an aide and advisor assigned by Britannia to observe Nunnally upon her appointment as the new Viceroy of Area 11. The quintessential Britannian, she regards Nunnally's pro-Eleven political stance with frigid opposition, but dutifully obeys regardless. When Zero engineers the exile of one million Japanese during a second attempt at forming the Special Administrative Zone of Japan, she nearly starts a second massacre by firing upon the crowd. Suzaku disarms her to prevent it from happening again. Her name and character design are direct references to Miss Rottenmeier (ミス・ロッテンマイヤー, Misu Routenmaiyaa), a character from Nippon Animation's popular anime series Heidi, Girl of the Alps (アルプスの少女ハイジ, Arupusu no Shōjo Haiji).

Chinese Federation

The Chinese Federation is an imperial monarchy that spans the Asian and Pacific regions, including India and the majority of Southeast Asia. Its political structure and organization appears to resemble the real-world Empire of China. The Emperor of the Federation was formerly an office that held absolute political power, but it has since been reduced to an effectively symbolic figurehead posting, "a symbol of the state and the unity of the people". As with the real-world Emperor of Japan, the individual who holds the title is regarded as a living divinity whose sovereignty is entirely ceremonial. True control of the nation lies with the governmental organization known as the "High Eunuchs" (大宦官).

General Cao

Voiced by: Takashi Taguchi

General Cao (曹將軍) is a general of the Chinese Federation. In the name of humanitarianism, he aids the former Japanese official Sawasaki Atsushi in a failed attempt to restore Kyūshu to the control of the previous Japanese administration as a puppet state of the Federation.

High Eunuchs

The High Eunuchs are a group of eight men who use the Empress' power to control the Federation, leaving its people poor and starving while they live in opulence. The eight Eunuchs are Gaohai (高亥 （ガオ・ハイ）), a pale-skinned and young-looking man who serves as an ambassador; Zhao Hao (趙皓（ジャオ・ハオウ）), the only overweight member and the only one with a different skin-tone; On-Sha (夏望（シャ・ワン）), a tall man with light-brown skin that wears glasses; Chung-Chen (程忠（チェン・ジョン）), a short, older-looking man with a shrill voice; Sheng Hsiang (項勝（シャン・シェン）), another pale-skinned man somewhat shorter than Gaohai but apparently around the same age; Li-Sai (蔡力士（サイ・リ・シ）), a shorter man with light-brown skin and a few wrinkles; Lung Tong (童倫（トン・ルン）), a tall man whose skin is somewhere between pale and light-brown; and Huang Qian (黄遷（フアン・シェン）), the oldest of the group with a prominent chin and many wrinkles.

Gaohai

Gaohai (高亥) is an influential member of the High Eunuchs sent as the Federation's consul to Area 11. Under the influence of Zero's Geass, he grants asylum to the Black Knights within the grounds of the Federation's consulate. Gaohai is summarily executed for lèse majesté against the Empress by Li Xingke, who believes him to hold Zero in higher regard.

Hong Gu

Hong Gu (洪古, Hon Gu) is a military official who serves the High Eunuchs, but is aligned with Xingke's faction.

Tianzi

Voiced by: Tamaki Matsumoto

Tianzi (天子, Tenshi) is the young Empress of the Chinese Federation, thus far referred to only by the traditional title attributed to the Chinese Emperor: Tianzi, "the Son of Heaven". In practice, she is effectively a prisoner within her own palace, which she dislikes. In the second season, she befriends Kaguya Sumeragi during their talks concerning the future of Area 11. She was to be married to Prince Odysseus in a political marriage, but the ceremony is interrupted by Li Xingke's attempted coup d'état and Zero taking her hostage during the confusion.

Zhou Xianglin

Zhou Xianglin (周香凛, Jou Chanrin) is a female military aide to Li Xingke. When Li is otherwise engaged on the field of battle, she oversees the chain of command within his unit.

Other characters

Black King

Voiced by: Masaharu Satō

The Black King (黒のキング, Kuro no Kingu) is a member of the mafia who regularly gambles on chess matches in Babel Tower. In the first episode, Lelouch challenges him to a game of chess when he mistreats Kallen, who is posing as one of the bunny waitresses. Lelouch wins, but the Black King tries to frame him for cheating to protect his reputation. The Black Knights' assault on the building interrupts him, and Kallen uses the opportunity to kick him in the face. He is killed in the ensuing chaos by the Britannian forces under the command of the intelligence agency. The second track on the sixth Sound Episode is named after him.

Genbu Kururugi

Genbu Kururugi (枢木 ゲンブ, Kururugi Genbu) is Suzaku's late father, the last prime minister of Japan, and host for both Lelouch and Nunnally Lamperouge seven years prior to the series. When Britannia began its invasion of Japan, Genbu refused to surrender, preferring unending resistance against Britannia. Though he is reported in the media to have committed suicide, in order to stop the all-out war against Britannia, it is revealed he was actually murdered by his own son. In the immediate aftermath of the incident, the truth behind Genbu's death was covered up.

Mao

Voiced by: Takeshi Kusao

Mao (毛, Mao) is a Chinese orphan who was given the power of Geass by C.C. at the age of six. His power allows him to read the minds of anyone within a 500 meter radius, either all at once or from a specific individual if he concentrates, though his range is reduced when he focuses on a single target. This ability makes him adept at playing on the insecurities of others to manipulate them. His Geass, like Lelouch's, eventually became permanently active, and the constant influx of thoughts from all around him drove him insane. C.C. states she abandoned him because he was not able to fulfill his part of their contract. In order to compensate for his uncontrolled power, Mao wears sunglasses to disguise his eyes and headphones which repeatedly play recorded words of encouragement and gratitude from C.C. in order to block out the thoughts around him.

When Mao finally finds C.C. in Area 11, she tries to get rid of him after Lelouch muses that killing him would have been more humane. However, she fails and Lelouch ends up rescuing her, using his Geass to make the local law enforcement shoot Mao. Unfortunately, since Lelouch ordered the police to "shoot" instead of "kill", Mao survives with the help of Britannia's advances in medicine. He then kidnaps and holds Nunnally hostage in the lower levels of the Ashford Academy, hoping to lure out and eliminate Lelouch in an elaborate game. Lelouch and Suzaku collaborate and succeed in rescuing Nunnally and defeating Mao, but the latter reads Suzaku's mind, revealing the true fate of his father. Lelouch silences Mao with his Geass, and as Mao tries to escape, C.C. finishes him off.

In the sidestory Nightmare of Nunnally, Mao is the name of a young Chinese girl who deserts the Irregulars after stealing a large amount of cell action suppressant for her own use. She possesses a Geass ability known as "The Refrain"; like the drug in the anime, it allows her to force others to relive past experiences once she makes eye contact with a victim using her left eye. She can also read minds as the anime's Mao can. Use of the ability severely taxes her body.

V.V.

Voiced by: Kazato Tomizawa

V.V. (ヴイ・ツー, Vui Tsū) is a a mysterious boy with blond hair longer than his body. He is like C.C.; an apparently immortal human being with superhuman abilities linked with to the Geass, and is capable of granting Geass contracts like C.C. It is hinted that he is responsible for transporting Lelouch, Suzaku, Kallen, and Euphemia to Kaminejima during the first season, as well as collapsing the floor beneath them later on. Immediately prior to the Battle of Tokyo, he appears before Suzaku and explains the nature of Geass. He subsequently kidnaps Nunnally, resulting Lelouch's sudden abandonment of the Black Knights' chain of command. In the second season, he is shown working with the Emperor, and C.C. suspects it is he who gave the Emperor his Geass. The two are working together to defeat as-yet unidentified gods. V.V. is presumed to be far older than the Emperor, and has on one occasion rebuked the Emperor for childish thinking. The Emperor playfully refers to him as "older brother." In the Sony PlayStation 2/Sony PlayStation Portable video game, Code Geass: Lost Colors, V.V. is sighted on Kaminejima with Rolo, who also gained his Geass from V.V.

Castor Rui Britannia

Castor Rui Britannia is a character exclusive to the Nintendo DS video game and a member of the Britannian Imperial Family. His twin brother is Pollux Rui Britannia. He pilots the Knightmare Frame Equus. Castor possesses a Geass that allows him to telepathically communicate with his twin brother Pollux.

Pollux Rui Britannia

Pollux Rui Britannia is a character exclusive to the Nintendo DS video game and a member of the Britannian Imperial Family. His twin brother is Caster Rui Britannia. He pilots the Knightmare Frame Aquila. Pollux possesses the same Geass ability as Lelouch, though when brought against one another his seems to be inferior.

Rai

Rai (ライ, Rai, Rai is the default name; the player can rename him at their discretion) is the protagonist of the Sony PlayStation 2/Sony PlayStation Portable video game, Code Geass: Lost Colors. He possesses the same Geass ability as Lelouch, but it uses sound as a medium instead of eye contact. He suffers from amnesia and is discovered by Milly and Lelouch in the Ashford Academy, where he fell unconscious after escaping a Britannian facility. He is taken in as a temporary student, while trying to recover his memories.

Rai is actually of Britannian descent. His father was of Britannian royalty and his mother was Japanese, of the Sumeragi clan, the same clan Kaguya belongs to, thus resulting in his ill treatment from his other siblings because of his half-breed status. Hundreds of years ago, in order to protect his mother and younger sister, he bound himself to V.V., in exchange for the power of Geass. His Geass ability allowed him to ascend to power. However, during a war with a neighboring country, while he was only trying to raise the fighting spirit of his people in a speech, he lost control of his Geass and accidentally ordered the people to fight to the death against the enemy. This order caused not only his people, but his mother and sister who he had wished to protect, to charge to their deaths, leaving him with nothing. In his loneliness and sadness, he used his power on himself to make him forget all of this and put himself into a deep sleep inside a ruin similar to that found on Kaminejima. He was discovered by General Bartley, who put him in the same facility in Area 11 where C.C. was held captive by Britannia. He awoke and used his power of Geass to escape the facility, ending up at Ashford Academy.

Nightmare of Nunnally characters

The spin-off manga Nightmare of Nunnally is an alternate story in which Nunnally gains the power of Geass from a Britannian experimental subject known as Nemo. The antagonists of the manga are the Britannian Special Honorary Foreign Legion "Irregulars" (特殊名誉外人部隊イレギュラーズ), an elite covert operations unit consisting of non-Britannians who have been granted capabilities far exceeding the human norm by way of ethically questionable medical augmentation. Some members have obtained Geass abilities as a result of cell matter transplants from C.C. The Irregulars unit insignia resembles the bird-like sigil of the Geass.

Alice

Alice (アリス, Arisu) is a tomboyish girl who is Nunnally's best friend and classmate, but is secretly an agent of the Irregulars assigned to the surveillance of Milly Ashford under the cover identity of a middle school student. Alice's normal physical abilities have been augmented with cells originating from C.C., giving her a Geass ability called "The Speed," which allows her to hyperaccelerate all objects within a given radius by manipulating gravitational pull. Designated by her unit to pilot a Knightmare Frame customized to exploit this ability, Alice serves as a highly effective point man on the field of battle. When her ability is active, a Geass sigil appears on her forehead. Alice's blood contains a chemical suppressant that minimizes the activity of C.C.'s biological matter, which has a tendancy to strain and overtax the human body. A neutralizer for the suppressant may be administered to temporarily boost the effect of "The Speed" in battle, enabling movement of sufficiently high speed that it resembles teleportation. Alice's relationship with Nunnally in the spin-off is comparable to that between Suzaku and Lelouch in the anime.

Dalque

Dalque (ダルク, Daruku) is a dark-skinned girl who serves as point man for the Irregulars. She possesses a Geass ability known as "The Power," which augments her physical strength by exaggerating the magnitude of macroscopic forces. When her ability is active, a Geass sigil appears upon her forehead. Her Knightmare Frame cockpit is installed with synchronization receptors that allow expression of this ability as a highly effective frame strength enhancer.

Lucretia

Lucretia (ルクレティア, Rukuretia) is a pale-haired girl who is a member of the Irregulars. She possesses a Geass ability known as "The Land," which accurately maps three-dimensional terrain within a given range. The results of her perceptions are instantly submitted to her Knighmare Frame via a cockpit neuroimaging device and collated with GPS data before being distributed to her team for tactical purposes. When her ability is active, a Geass sigil appears upon her forehead. She is typically partnered with Sancia, whose tracking Geass ability complements her own.

Madd

Madd (マッド, Maddo) is an unpleasant male cyborg who serves as the Commander of the Irregulars.

Nemo

Nemo (ネモ) is the protagonist of the manga spin-off Nightmare of Nunnally along with Nunnally herself. Nemo is a mysterious energy life-form developed under Code-R using a sample of C.C.'s cells. She is referred to by the Britannian military as a magical device (魔導器, madouki). Shortly after being released alongside C.C. in the Shinjuku Ghetto, she encounters and enters into a contract with Nunnally, granting her a Geass ability that allows sight of "the lines of the future," effectively giving her precognition. She assumes an appearance resembling an albino Nunnally upon contract finalization, and the two of them come to share a single mind. Nemo's personality remains distinct from Nunnally, and is said to be an expression of Nunnally's unconscious anger and hostility. Normally disembodied and visible only to Nunnally, Nemo possesses Nunnally's body and temporarily restores it to a functioning state upon summoning the Knightmare Frame Mark Nemo, which they pilot as one. Their piloting style is thought by Cornelia to closely resemble that of the late Marianne. Nemo means "nobody" or "no one" in Latin, which may refer to her shadowy and enigmatic nature.

Sancia

Sancia (サンチア, Sanchia) is a dark-haired woman who serves as a field captain for the Irregulars. She possesses a Geass ability known as "The Order," which accurately identifies the positions of targets within a given range and precisely calculates their probable movement trajectories based on all known variables. The results of her calculations are instantly submitted to her Knighmare Frame via a cockpit neuroimaging device and collated with radar information before being distributed to her team for tactical purposes. When her ability is active, a Geass sigil appears upon her forehead. She is typically partnered with Lucretia, whose terrain-mapping Geass ability complements her own. She is older than her subordinates.
