Gerhard Poschner (born 23 September 1969 in Dumitra, Romania) is a retired German footballer, who played as a hard-working defensive midfielder.
Moving with his parents at age 5 to Germany, in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Poschner began his professional career in 1987-88 with VfB Stuttgart, where he played three seasons.
Poschner emerged as a top flight player with Borussia Dortmund, netting 14 league goals from 1990-94 and losing, for the second time, the UEFA Cup final. He returned to Stuttgart for 4 1/2 additional seasons, helping the side win the 1997 German Cup, and moving to lowly S.S.C. Venezia in January 1999.
Subsequently, Poschner played with Rayo Vallecano, SK Rapid Wien, Polideportivo Ejido and 1860 Munich, closing his career at almost 35.
