Giuseppe Fonzi (born 2 August 1991) is an Italian professional racing cyclist. He was named in the start list for the 2017 Giro d'Italia, where he finished last of the 161 riders to complete the race.

Cycling Career

2016

Giuseppe Fonzi competed in his first ever monument race at the Tour of Flanders. He didn't finish the race but was a domestique for team rider Filippo Pozzato. He finished 4th overall in the Tour of Taihu Lake.

2017

Fonzi rode the Tour of Flanders again, for a second time in his career. At the Giro d'Italia, Fonzi finished 161st overall, which was last place and therefore he won the "Maglia Nera" for the last place rider. His best results at the season was 12th overall at the Tour de Korea.

2018

At the Tour de Langkawi, Fonzi finished 5th overall, after finishing 10th in the breakaway that stayed away on stage 7. He started the Giro d'Italia for a second time in his career.
