Owen Daniels (born November 9, 1982 in Naperville, Illinois) is an American football tight end for the Houston Texans of the National Football League. He attended Naperville Central High School and led them to a state championship his junior year as a quarterback. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences and where he played football under coach Barry Alvarez. At Wisconsin, Owen saw few snaps as quarterback. After lifting in the off season, Owen moved to special teams and eventually took the starting job as the Badgers tight end. He was drafted with the 98th pick in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft.

On October 29, 2006 he had his best game of his rookie season 9 receptions for 99 yards and 2 touchdowns. He finished the season with 34 receptions and 352 yards with 5 touchdowns. He was named as the tight end on the 2007 NFL All-Rookie Team as selected by Pro Football Weekly and the Pro Football Writers of America.
