Doug Davidson born October 24, 1954 is an Emmy Award-nominated American television actor. He was born in Glendale, California.

Since 1978, he has played private investigator Paul Williams on the soap opera The Young and the Restless. In 1994, he hosted a syndicated version of the game show The Price is Right, but the show was canceled after one season. Davidson was given a tryout to succeed Bob Barker as host of the daytime version in January 2007 (Barker retired in June). [1]

Davidson was often seen as the leader of the The Young and the Restless team when they played for charity on Family Feud in the early 1990's.

He has been married to actress Cindy Fisher since 1984. They have two children, Calyssa (17 yrs of age) and Caden (14 yrs of age).
