Swept Away is a 2002 romantic comedy film. Directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Madonna and Bruce Greenwood. The film is a remake of the 1974 Italian film Travolti da un insolito destino nell'azzurro mare d'agosto (Swept Away by an Unusual Destiny in the Blue Sea of August).

Plot

Template:Spoiler Amber Leighton (Madonna) is rich, spoiled and arrogant woman, she is invited on a private cruise from Greece to Italy by her husband Tony (Bruce Greenwood). A storm leaves Amber on a desert island, together with the ship's first mate Giuseppe (Adriano Giannini), a communist sailor who she eventually falls in love with.
