Galaxy Digital is a radio station broadcasting through the digital platform across the United Kingdom and is owned by Global Radio which bought Chrysalis Radio in 2007 and then changed to the 'Global Radio' name. Through Global Radio are the network or 'sister' radio stations named Galaxy Birmingham, Galaxy Manchester, Galaxy North East and Galaxy Yorkshire which make up the Galaxy Network where other radio stations inside this network broadcast shows from one station to all the other stations. Galaxy Digital specialises in dance and r'n'b music with shows such as 'Hirsty's Daily Dose' in the mornings and 'The Dave Kelly Evening Show' in the evenings. Since Monday 21st January 2008, Galaxy Digital was changed to broadcast shows from Galaxy Yorkshire but with the 'Across the UK' line to replace the Galaxy Yorkshire 'Across Yorkshire' line for residents in the Yorkshire region. From Summer 2008, the station will broadcast in London, Central Scotland, Leicester, Nottingham and Derbyshire.
