Isaac de Gois (born 24 December 1984 in Bankstown, New South Wales) is an Australian professional rugby league player for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. de Gois' favoured position is hooker. Isaac also has a younger brother who plays for Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks at a lower grade level.

Playing career

Isaac De Gois was a Wests junior from the Liverpool area. He once supplemented his footy income by working as a courier.

In 2006, De Gois made his first grade debut playing for the Wests Tigers in round 3 against the New Zealand Warriors. De Gois joined the Cronulla Sharks in 2007 and has been playing some great football during the first 6 games of the 2008 NRL season, hailed as an unsung hero with a tremendous future ahead of him.

As of April 23, 2008, De Gois has announced that he will be playing with the Newcastle Knights from 2009 onwards, signing a deal to keep him at the club until 2011 under the guidance of coach Brian Smith, and as an immediate replacement to the departing Danny Buderus.

Representative Career

Isaac De Gois represents the Portuguese Rugby league team at international level, but it touted as a future NSW Origin and Australian test player.
