The 2008 National League Division Series (NLDS), the first round of the 2008 National League playoffs is a best-of-five series. As of September 27, 2008, the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Philadelphia Phillies have clinched berths in the NLDS by clinching the Central, Western, and Eastern divisions, respectively.

Game 1 is currently scheduled for Wednesday, October 1, 2008. Both series will be telecast on TBS. If Game 5 from any of the two series is played, it will be played on Tuesday, October 7 of this year.[1]

Matchups

Chicago, guaranteed the best record in the NL, would play the NL wild card winner unless the wild card winner was from the same division.
