Special Delivery is the name of an album by legendary Country music singer Dottie West, released in 1980.

With Dottie West's career brought back to life, after having a string of big Country hits with Kenny Rogers in the late 70s (with songs like "Every Time Two Fools Collide" and "All I Ever Need Is You"), it was about West went out on her own, as a solo artist. West completely changed her image around this time, making herself more revealing and sexier than she used to be. This was not an uncommon trait for Country singers at the time. Many other Country singers were entering a more riskier image, like David Allan Coe, Dolly Parton, and Margo Smith among others. While her image was changing, so was West's material, and it couldn't be more evident than in this album.

She decided to record lighter, more Pop-oriented music for her Special Delivery album, which was the more popular style of Country music at the time. She released her first single from the album in late 1979 called "You Pick Me Up and Put Me Down". The song had a more Countrypolitan, lighter sound to it, and because of this, it reached #12 on the Country charts. The album also includes an even more Pop-encrusted hit, which went all the way to #1 entitled "A Lesson in Leaving" (a song Jo Dee Messina would later cover in 1999 and make it one of her biggest hits to date), as well as another Top 15 Country hit called "Leavin' For Unbelievers". It also includes a version of the Bob Seger (and later the Kenny Rogers) hit "We've Got Tonight". This was one of her more successful albums, reaching No. 13 on the Top Country albums chart in 1980 and No. 78 on the Billboard Top 200.
