Nicole Lai was a singer-songwriter (作曲,歌手), backing vocalist (和音歌手), vocal trainer (歌唱老师) and performer (演唱歌手) in Republic of Singapore.

She passed away on 6th September 2008. Local newspaper and magazines published breaking news "娱乐头条" of her sudden death [1]. Many people in Singapore are concerned and wanted to know more about her. As a result, on 8th September 2008, Nicole Lai is the 4th highest searched-name in Google Singapore [2][3]

Singapore's biggest newspaper publication Straits Times on 26th September 2008 reported that "Fame comes too late for this singer" [4] and "Late Singer gets own CD at last" [5]

Introduction - Nicole Lai 黎珈仪

Nicole was born on 26th Febuary 1974 in Penang. Her nickname Niguolai 你过来 was given to her by her good friend and singer-songwriter, Stefanie Sun 孫燕姿

Nicole has worked with many famous celebrities including 郭富城 (Aaron Kwok)、蔡依林 (Jolin Tsai)、梁咏琪 (Gigi Leung)、郑秀文 (Sammi Cheng) 、张信哲 (Jeff Chang)、莫文尉 (Karen Mok) 、那英 (Na Ying) and 孙燕姿 (Stefanie Sun)。

Nicole was a member of the Composers and Authors Society of Singapore (COMPASS) [6].

In the year 2003, she won songs awards in the Xinyao Song competition held in Singapore [7] where she was champion in the Vocal Peformance Category and 1st runner up in the Composing Category. This same song was selected to become one of the songs for the famous Taiwan TV series called Green Forest, My Home 绿光森林 [8][9] soundtrack album.

Nicole also sang on the soundtrack of Singapore's own home-grown movie, Singapore Dreaming 美满人生 "Mei Man Ren Sheng", [10]

多年来， Nicole 一直许多歌手灌唱时的和音歌手，也是许多歌手演唱会上的和音歌手，是本地知名的和音天使 (Backing vocalist)，而许多歌手成名的歌曲的 Demo（未灌成唱片的推荐歌曲带子）的演唱歌手。

Nicole had an angel-loving heart and sponsored 4 kids from World Vision Organization [11][12] when she was alive.

After her death, her friends will launch her EP album sometime at the end of 2008 and proceeds from the CD sales will go to charity and to adopting Nicole’s 4 kids from World Vision.

Nicole was one of the most experienced instructors in Singapore. Beside being a freelance instructor, she also taught at Lee Wei Song 李伟菘 Music School [13]. She has taught many famous celebrities, including:
