Vivian Hsu ( Chinese  徐 若 瑄 , Pinyin Xú Ruòxuān , W.-G. Hsü Jo-hsüan ) (born March 19, 1975 in Taichung , Taiwan as Xú Shújuān ( 徐淑娟 , Hsu Su-chuan )) is a pop singer , songwriter , Actress and model .

biography

At the age of 15, the Taiwanese won a beauty pageant and was then used as a singer in the Taiwanese girl band Shàonǔ Dùi ( 少女 隊 ). Like many Chinese artists, she also adopted a stage name influenced by the western world and has since appeared in public as Vivian Hsu. After initial successes with the band, the young Taiwanese also began to establish herself as a solo artist and worked here with the successful composer Jay Chou , among others . As a result, she appeared on various television shows in Japan and Asia and also took on guest roles in series. In addition to her successful career as a mandopop musician and interpreter of Japanese songs, Vivian Hsu is also a popular photo model.

Because of her notoriety, she also got a role in the 2001 action film Spy Reluctantly . In addition to Jackie Chan , she plays the leading female role. In 2011 she starred in the historical drama Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale .
