The Soviet evacuation of Tallinn in August 1941 was a Naval operation which consisted of 165 ship, and evacuated 28,000 passengers and 66,000 ton of equipment. The units of the Baltic Fleet and Baltic civilian maritime transportation suffered heavy losses outside Capes Juminda and Purekkari (59O 40' - 25O 30') due mines and German and Finnish air and torpedo attacks.[1][2][3]
