Winston is a village in County Durham, England. It is situated a few miles to the west of Darlington.

The local Bridgewater Arms Pub at the bottom of the village was once a school.

The nearby bridge over the River Tees also once held claim to being the biggest single stone arch bridge in Europe.[1] It was featured in a French movie.[which?]

Winston Gate is nearby hamlet nearby close to the border with Richmondshire and North Yorkshire.
