Mao Zejian (Chinese: 毛澤建; October 1905 – 20 August 1929) was a cousin of Mao Zedong. She was the daughter of Zedong's paternal uncle Mao Xi however she lived with Mao's parents as her Tibetan mother drove her out of the house. She married a fruit seller in Changsha at the age of 12. She was a big supporter of Socialism so she was captured by Chiang Kai-Shek who had a daughter called Wen with her. She was later beheaded.[1]
