Chris Addison
Chris Addison (born 1972, Didsbury, Manchester) is an English writer, stand up comic and actor, with a career which has spanned over a decade.
His BBC radio work includes the anthropological lecture series The Ape That Got Lucky with Dan Tetsell, and the political satire The Department with John Oliver and Andy Zaltzman. Addison most featured as Olly in both series of BBC television satire The Thick of It.
In 2006 Chris recorded the BBC radio series "Civilization" which is based on his Edinburgh show of 2004. The show also featured fellow comedians Dan Tetsell, Jo Enright and Geoffrey McGivern and was aired in four parts over the summer of 2006. Jo and Geoffrey will also co-star in the new sitcom 'Labrats' (written by and staring Chris) which is currently being recorded for the BBC.
On the 8 May, 2006 he won the Sony UK Radio Awards (Best Radio Comedy Show) for his show The Ape That Got Lucky. Addison recommends quietening noisy car journeys with a game of "don't speak till you see a man in a Fez".
