"All I Really Want"
Song

"All I Really Want" is a song written by Alanis Morissette and Glen Ballard, and produced by Ballard for Morissette's third album Jagged Little Pill (1995). In the United States it was released as the album's second single in 1995 (see 1995 in music), and outside the U.S. it was released as the album's sixth and final single in 1997 (see 1997 in music). The song was one of the first written for Jagged Little Pill and originated from a song called "The Bottom Line", which was the first song Morissette wrote with Glen Ballard. The protagonist of "All I Really Want" is a young, embittered female trying to find a connection in the world, yodeling and yelping after revealing that what she really wants is "some justice".

The single peaked at number fourteen on the U.S. Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart, and at number thirty-nine in Australia. It had no official video, but there was a promo video that contained footage from concerts and the videos for "You Oughta Know" and "Hand in My Pocket". As of 2006, Morissette opens most of her concerts with the song.
