Sharked

Jimmy's Back Yard

Sharked (originally known as Sharked! until 2006 when Jet left) is a rock band from Arizona that started as a family band in 2005 by Jimmy R. Marquez IV.

History & Releases

Sharked! (2004-2006)

The band grew it's popularity in 2004 when it was first noted that Jet & Jimmy (the only members of "Entoxica") were in the band. They released "Sharked!", a self-titled EP which contained four tracks: "Drowning", "Shark Song", "Underwater", and "Songs About Water". All four songs made it onto their famous debut album the next year.

Off the Deep End & Jet's solo career (2006-2007)

In 2005 Sharked! released their debut album, entitled "Off the Deep End". It contained ten tracks, and three singles were released: "Shark Song", "Off the Deep End", and "Oceanica". The hit title track "Off the Deep End" featured ameteur band "Drenched".

When Jet decided to go solo in 2006, Sharked! was changed to simply "Sharked" to notify the change in band lineup. Marina then recruited Jsn Crtr on Bass guitar.

Area to Cover EP & Marina's second solo album (2007-2008)

The band became increasingly popular with the release of Sharked's new single, "Area to Cover" in 2008. With it, the second album was announced. Unfourtunately, Entoxica's new album "Nothing Better To Do", was due to be released that year, along with Marina's second solo album. But, the Marquez's were moving, so the album was finished in Kingman, Arizona. Entoxica was broken up, and Marina's new album "What I Want" was released sucessfully February 14, 2008 (Her last album, "Marina! ('Bout Time)" was released 2004).

Drowning Without Water & New "Area to Cover" (2008-present)

The band's second Album, "Drowning Without Water", was released September 3, 2008. It contained numerous hit songs and a few great singles.

Marina also hinted on September 30, 2008 that Sharked's thrid album is under production and is set for a release 2009.

On October 1, 2008, Sharked revealed that they were working on their third studio album, which will feature 15 new tracks. Jimmy has stated that they mey self title this album, which means that they plan to stick with the label they're on, and that it also makes for a good introductory album as the band has relocated.

Jimmy also announced that he planned to re-release "Off the Deep End".
