Gongliao District
Gongliao or Gungliau (Chinese: 貢寮鄉; pinyin: Gòngliáo Xiāng; Wade–Giles: Kung4-liao2-hsiang1; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Khong-liâu-hiong, Khong-á-liâu-hiong; lit. 'gift hut') is a rural township in the eastern part of Taipei County, Taiwan Province of the Republic of China. The fourth nuclear power plant is under construction in Gongliao. However, the majority of the residents strongly oppose the construction. The area of the township is approximately 99.97 square kilometers. There are about 14,077 people living in the township.
