Othmar Zeidler

Othmar Zeidler (1859 - 26 June 1911) was a German Austrian chemist.

As a doctoral student at University of Strasbourg, Zeidler is credited with first synthesis of the insecticide Dichloro Diphenyl Trichloroethane or DDT in 1874, He worked with Adolf von Baeyer at Straßburg.
