Roma Guy is an activist.[1][2] She was born in Maine and earned a Masters in Social Work from the University of Maine, after which she worked in Africa for nine years.[1] She is openly lesbian.[2]

Roma and her partner Diane moved to San Francisco in the 1970s.[1] They were two of the Women's Building's cofounders, and Roma was a cofounder of SF Women Against Rape.[1][3] Roma also advocated for women's access to health care in San Francisco.[1]

From 1994 to 2007 she worked as a professor in the Department of Health Education at San Francisco State University.[3] As of 2017 she is the director of the Bay Area Homelessness Program.[1]
